Come and relax by the pool and enjoy the easy lifestyle Fiddler on the Reef has to offer.

'Fiddler on the Reef' is a Luxurious 2,700 SF beach home located at the north end of Surfside Beach. A beautiful large balcony overlooks a serene custom in-ground pool w/ heat option. With only 75 steps to beach access - this home has it all right at your doorstep!!

This is a professionally maintained home complete with fully furnished kitchen. Large open living area features sliding glass doors to the pool and a Smart TV and plenty of seating. Dining area seats 8 at the main table plus 6 at the bar. Common living area and kitchen features custom tile flooring. 5 BEDROOMS, EACH OF WHICH HAS ITS OWN FULL BATHROOM AND TV!! Downstairs bedroom has a queen bed with balcony access. Upstairs master bedroom with King bed features a JACUZZI TUB in addition to a full bathroom. Two other bedrooms have two queen beds in each and the last bedroom has one queen bed (seven total beds). A separate full bathroom in the living area can also be entered from the back deck (perfect for pool time bathroom breaks!).

Another enjoyable vacation

This was our second time staying at this location. Everything was clean and the kids really enjoyed the pool. My only negative comment was that the mattresses were too soft for most of my family. We would definitely book again to stay here.

A fun & relaxing place to stay

Our family ranges in age from 3 to 62 and we all had a wonderful time at this beautiful home. We made wonderful memories and left part of our hearts back there for sure. The home is clean, huge and we had lots of space to do inside and outdoor activities. We paid for the heated pool and it was awesome! We would definitely stay here again. The owner is responsive and helpful. We wish we were back there!!

The Property had more to offer than was advertised. There were actually 3 refrigerator. So plenty of space. To much to mentioned. If you are looking for a large place, close to the beach, The Relaxing Retreat should be on your short list.

Great family weekend!

Plenty of room! Well stocked kitchen and bedrooms. Plenty of towels, blankets, pillows etc. Comfy cots too! Pool is fun and heated feature awesome. Short walk to beach. Overall wonderful experience. The only negative is proximity of the pool in terms of all the adjacent neighboring pools. We had some annoying, super discourteous neighbors across the way who played annoying music for 12 to 14 hours of the day with absolutely no regard for others. But what can you do? Some people just suck at life.

Family vacation 2023

The house was perfect for 7 adults and 6 children! The bathrooms attached to each bedroom made it so easy to have a large number of people getting ready to go out together! The bathroom off the deck was perfect for use from the pool. So happy that we didnt have to track pool water and sand through the house. Thank you for the use of the wake boards at the beach. They were a big hit for the 8 and 10 year old grandkids (a few of the adults got some use out of them too!) The weather was hot and humid, but coming from Ohio where the summer weather is unpredictable, we really enjoyed the pool and the beach. We will keep this house in our contacts for a possible future vacation! Thank you.

Bachelorette weekend

House was perfect for a group of 8 girls coming to celebrate a soon to be bride. Very spacious rooms, comfortable beds, and kitchen provided almost everything you could need. Mostly clean with some minor issues. Texted Allen with some questions and got a quick response and solution. Couple suggestions would be more toilet paper should be provided if you are having a group of 8+ or should be listed that limited toilet paper is provided. Comforters and blankets should be washed after EVERY visit (not just the sheets) A couple of light switches need some attention. The sliding glass door is tricky to lock. And lately the wifi instruction listed on the Vrbo check in instructions is not what is posted in the home. Overall a great and comfortable stay! Will definitely be back :)

Keep Family Gathering

The house was nice but had issues. A lot of the bathroom lights didn’t work. Toilets were loose and leaned when using them. Stayed at a lot of rentals and they usually are stocked with minor stuff like toilet paper and paper towels. Nope had to go buy it.There was ants all over kitchen and roachs had to go buy bug spray. Don’t get wrong these are minor cause location was great and house was layed out great. But also one bed had a large lump in middle of bed so you couldn’t sleep on it upstairs. Overall good but definetly needs to clean up and fix some things for guests.

Our run club loved the location, ample space and heated pool! The beach was close. The pier was the perfect distance for biking and running to. We enjoyed local venues such as the sculpture gardens, and great restaurants and loved the heated pool option for the end of March! We would visit again

Home is so close to the ocean and has a lovely private pool. My four boys and their families had a great time. House is spacious, never felt like we were on top of each other. Kitchen was fully equipped, though old appliances. Plenty of refrigerator and freezer space. We loved it.

Surfside Beach 2023 family vacation

Property and location are terrific. Our family has stayed here before and we enjoy the location and layout. Some of the furniture and mattresses will need to be updated in the next year or two, but these are minor in relationship to our overall vacation experience. Will stay here again if available !!

Quiet neighborhood, only steps from beach. Property is very easy to find and is close to grocery store & restaurants. Beds are softer than we have at home but very comfortable. Option to heat the pool was great as we had some chilly days during our stay. Issues we experienced were resolved quickly. Would stay here again!
