The hotel is in need of a facelift. The rooms are comfortable but not 5*. There is a palpable lack of management presence. Breakfast on Saturday was very chaotic. Having to rely on waiting staff to bring milk for cereal and coffee is a terrible idea. There are not enough of them. Check in was slow on Friday evening. The staff just don't seem to have any basic manners. They are constantly shouting at one another and ignoring customers. A bit of basic etiquette. That isn't to say that they are malicious or intentionally rude because one on one each of my interactions was positive. In general though there is a disconnect between the star rating and the general service level. You should not have to ask to have things done at a 5* hotel. The staff should know to take bags to rooms, service rooms, notify customers when there is a water problem... etc.
