"We chose this hotel as it was near the park. The staff were efficient and very helpful. They have us tea and sweets on arrival before showing us to our room. The western style twin beds were clean and comfortable apart from the normal Japanese hard pillows. The legless chairs with cushions were set on a tatami platform and it overlooked a residential area & trees. The shower room was clean and well appointed. As usual there was little room for suitcases except in the corridor by the tea making...
"Convenient location, just 3 mins walk to the shopping street with many restaurants options. The tatami room is very nice! Parking is not quite friendly as it doesn’t allow to drive out once we parked, so please take this into consideration when you book this. "
"Front desk staff was polite, kind, pleasant and competent. Conveniently located for enjoying parks and downtown. Wish it had an electric outlet and more counter space in the bathroom and no elevated partition that could be easily tripped at the bathroom entrance. "
"The hotel was easy to get by limousine bus and nice hotel lobby area. Hotel staff was very helpful and free umbrellas when rainy outside. Good hotel. "

"Great centralized location. Ultra clean hotel with great amenities and features. I would say the main issues were having only 3 elevators hardly met the demands of the people. There more than a few times where I waited over 3 minutes for an elevator and a few times I had to wait for the next elevator. Also they need a few more wash machine and dryer. I stood in line for the next washing machine for over 2 hours. Shin-shigai over all needs a makeover. It looks dirty, dark and unsafe, but the hotel itself is beautiful inside."
"Many good restaurants, convenient stores and shopping easily accessible. Beds were very comfortable.
Another towel rack in the bathroom would be nice to have."
"This is the Sotetsu Inn you should choose when visiting Kumamoto. Note that it is bigger than the typical Sotetsu inns in the Tokyo area so you get a more spacious quiet and comfortable room. Location is perfect as you are right next to the shopping arcade. "
