"The AC unit was very loud - too loud. The pool was nice - we enjoyed that. The entire property & rooms are extremely dated & need attention. If I could have cancelled I would have gone elsewhere but was informed I could not. 2 night stay for $640 was outrageous for the condition of room. Bathroom needs renovated. TV was small. "

The well-equipped kitchen with cookware, utensils, spices and oils made cooking in easy with everything needed at hand. The spacious main living area adjacent to the kitchen was great for family gatherings. And the jumbo TV was a bonus we all enjoyed. The house was clean, beds comfy, and updated bathrooms appreciated. The downstairs living area was great as we all had space to unwind without feeling cramped. The stunning view and sunsets were enjoyed in the private, resort-like setting. The kayaks and paddle boards were used and enjoyed. The pool was wonderful for cooling off and relaxing. Sharing the place with family was special as we all have great memories! We'll be back! "

"We rented this property through Vacasa/VRBO for a family celebration with our three adult children and their partners. Our plans were to spend several days hanging out and catching up. For a party of eight, this home served us perfectly. This home is secluded on a beautifully landscaped parcel; just a 20-minute drive from Key West. The bottom level has been converted into a veranda with multiple seating and dining areas on travertine flooring that looks onto an infinity pool with a hot tub. Beyond the pool, there is a small sandy beach looking onto a sound that is perfect for kayaking, watching sunsets and stargazing. The home is large and well appointed with four bedrooms, each with its own ensuite, full bath and television The kitchen is large and modern. The garage has been converted into a game room and arcade. Surrounding the home is a covered open porch with multiple options for seating and gathering. We loved this house. It was clean, bright and open, and worked out perfectly for our family reunion. Overall rating 9.5/10."

"This location was better than the pictures. My family and I truly enjoyed every minute we spent here and will definitely return if we’re back in the area. The backyard……..pictures can not do this kind of beauty justice!!! Sunrise and sunsets are gorgeous. Coconuts everywhere, we swam in the pool in February…….just amazing. Highly recommend "

"Terrible experience! Booked house for group for wife's birthday - months in advance, only to have canceled at 2am the night before check-in! Would not return emails, phone calls or any other communication! Very sketchy! ALSO there are 2 identical bookings on VRBO for this house so be very careful and skeptical when booking here...."

"The Online Property Manager almost pushed us to ask for a refund by telling us about loud dock construction between the hours of 10am -2pm every day immediately after he secured our final payment for the trip. Thankfully Tom who is the onsite manager was amazing and had the construction stopped for the duration of our stay. He gave us endless local knowledge, help, and let us borrow a cooler and some of his personal equipment. Everything was clean and wonderful on the property and it was stocked with fun amenities.The trip would be perfect if not for the sargassum which made the first 4-5 feet of the water rather foul but after that it was amazing to kayak or paddleboard on. If we revisit we will definitely go earlier when there is less of the sargassum, as well as hopefully a completed new dock that should be great for swimming and avoiding the sargassum altogether. Overral the food in the keys, the house, the views, and the wonderful host Tom made this trip a wonderful get away. "

"We had a fantastic stay in August! The location was perfect—right on the water, with kayaks available. The bedrooms were comfortable and all had great views. Our favorite place was the tiki for morning coffee and afternoon cocktails. It was the first vacation we had in a few years, and relaxation was fulfilled by the Hemingway House and Key West!We did spend some time figuring out the HVAC system. One thermostat seemed to be the main one while the second acted as a satellite."
