We had an amazing stay. So peaceful and the view is gorgeous. Location is perfect for access to Blowing Rock, Boone and Banner Elk as well as being so close to Valle Crucis park.
Great cabin for relaxation with the comforts of home
Really enjoyed our week at the cabin, very pleased with the cleanliness and location. We were able to make meals for ourselves with no problem; really well stocked. Thank you for helping us create wonderful family memories!
The cabin has great views. It was private and very quiet. Everything we needed was there. Great kitchen, clean, great wi fi. We didn’t use the hot tub but it is beautiful and has a wonderful view of the mountains. We plan on returning!!
We loved the home and the location. The home had everything we needed. The beds were fairly comfy.
The view was perfect.
The grill needs updating and the deck needed some fresh paint but these things weren't a big deal to us.
Thank you for allowing us to bring along our pets.. they loved the home also.
I would stay here again.
Pros: roomie, kitchen well stocked, Jacuzzi & fire pit nice. Location was excellent. Cons: stove top was covered with grease no cleaning supplies. I happen to have alcohol wipes in my car to clean it. Refrigerator filter needed changing... on red, dog hair on comforter, game console was unusable, foosball table unlevel , A bit pricey for the accommodations. not level.
We loved every minute of our stay at the cabin. The view and hot tub was amazing. Beds were comfy and cabin was clean and outfitted great. Kids loved the pond. We will be back
What a great property. Thanks for sharing your home with us. Fully stocked kitchen made entertaining easy. Hot tub was fun but was not working our second night. Location was perfect for getting to Kidd Brewer Stadium. We would definitely stay again.
Property was in need of attention. Deck and railings were peeling paint. Towels and linen were wet when we got to the house. Sleeping in a damp bed not my idea of luxury. It was advertised as upscale but is no more than average. Couldn't use hammock because it was covered with pet hair and smelled of wet dog. The pond dam and surrounding area was overgrown and difficult to access.
It was a beautiful home in a great location. We did have some issues with cleanliness. The floors were obviously not swept nor the carpet on the steps were vacuumed. Dusting a must! I did contact the realtor about the cleanliness and they were very apologetic and said they would contact the cleaning company. Overall our stay was great and would definitely return.
We had an amazing family vacation in the mountains! The property - Sugar Grove was as described and even better than the pics! Great amenities, clean, comfy beds/couches, hot tub with a GREAT view, fire pit with plenty of fire wood (some of it was damp so it took a while to get the fire going. The wood was under cover but we had a lot of rain so it made sense. The kids (8 & 10 years old) had a game room downstairs and their own little space with two beds to sleep in. The property was in a great location - very close to Mast General Store and to all of the attractions like Grandfather Mtn, Alpine coaster, zipline, and Alpaca Farm. It was also an easy 20min drive into Boone to the grocery store or for takeout. The owners even set up a scavenger hunt for the kids. It went pretty far up into the woods and we couldnt find the last clue but it was still fun. Also, there is a small pond very close by with a floating dock to fish off of. Overall, I would highly recommend staying here. In fact, we are looking to go back ASAP. Book with confidence! Cheers!
The cabin was a great retreat for us to escape the heat of the summer. The cabin was clean and furnished beautifully. The Scavenger Hunt was probably the most fun for our family. Unfortunately we never found the prize. Everyone loved it, from our 4 yr. old grandson to the grandparents. Will definitely consider visiting again.
