Nestled in the heart of the historic town of Lavenham, this three-storey house stands a stone’s throw from cafes, restaurants and amenities. Coconut Mill has been thoughtfully renovated to a good standard. As this is a town house there are three levels with a bedroom and shower room on the ground floor and access to the garden and games room. The living room, kitchen and dining area are on the first floor, with a further two bedrooms on the second floor.
Step outside and you’ll find yourself amidst cobblestone streets lined with half-timbered houses, each steeped in its own unique history. A leisurely stroll takes you to the local market square, where vibrant stalls offer fresh produce and handcrafted goods. Lavenham’s historic significance shines through its well-preserved medieval architecture. Enjoy quaint tea rooms, peruse art galleries and explore boutiques.
For those with a penchant for history, the nearby Lavenham Guildhall Museum offers insights into the town’s past. A short drive from the town leads to rolling countryside, where walking trails wind through picturesque landscapes. The surrounding area boasts a variety of outdoor activities, from horse riding to cycling.
If you fancy a day at the coast then pop along to West Mersea, just an hour and three quarters drive. Mersea gets cut off for about an hour when there is a very high tide, usually once a month, so it’s worthwhile checking the tides. Why not visit Mersea Island vineyard and brewery where a beer festival is held at Easter, and you can purchase Mersea Island gin? The Mersea Regatta, running since 1838, is held every August and should not be missed.
