"A warm welcome after a long drive from Jane/Owner. Accommodation was clean and comfortable, the shower was instantly warm! The owners were lovely, very friendly, attentive and accommodating. My daughter and I were going out very early one morning and thought we would miss breakfast so Sean/owner made us bacon sandwiches and put cartons of juice in the fridge to take with us! The breakfasts were tasty too, full english and poached eggs on toast. We were greeted each morning by the owners two donkeys. We enjoyed sightings of squirrels, rabbits, and a green woodpecker. We had a lovely peaceful stay, would recommend, and hope to stay again as very close to my family and Ely, thank you!"

"Peacocks is lovely. There is no B&B front desk; rather, one mentions “we’re staying with you” to the bustling tearoom staff, and someone appears immediately to give you a cheerful welcome to the establishment. Located above the absolutely booming Teahouse on the ground floor, the two upstairs B&B suites are accessed through a side entrance and some stairs. Upstairs, each of the two roomy suites has its own bedroom, living room, and ensuite, and both are full of furniture, books, antiques, and ephemera (read: if your idea of a lovely B&B resembles an uncluttered and modernist Ikea lifestyle, then this might come as a surprise). Wonderfully mismatched vintage tea cups and saucers sit alongside a well-stocked, in-room tea selection, and complimentary slices of cake from downstairs await. The bed is comfortable, there are adequate plugs for recharging electronic devices, and the fully stocked bookshelf beside the loo is stroke of brilliance. Breakfast was by order, and excellent. Peacocks is well placed beside the River Great Ouse with its pretty River Walk, and 10 minutes from both the busy railway station and Ely Cathedral. Free parking was up against the picket fence in front of the B&B. Highly recommended."

"Overall great stay. Nice, quite and secure property. Lovely views after a long day at work, it was nice to unwind with a beer and look over the field watching the sun set every night. Huge comfy leather sofas. Was never bothered by the property owner, but any questions or problem was sorted right away. Hes a genuinly nice man.Would stay again. Couple things to note. Upstairs flooring and stairs very creaky.Could'nt use the oven and 3 hobs at the same time without tripping fuse board. Kitchen chair legs seem very loose was nervous to sit down on them to eat our dinner."
