Support inadequate for loyal customer
I am writing to express my disappointment regarding the handling of my recent booking at Ibis Strasbourg (scheduled for October 4–6). I cancelled the reservation by calling the hotel and then hotel.com on September 30th, a full three days in advance. I spoke with both the hotel directly and Hotels.com customer service at the time, and was assured by both parties that the message would be conveyed, the booking cancelled, and a full refund issued.
However, despite following all procedures and receiving confirmation that the cancellation request was communicated, I was later informed via email that my refund was denied. This outcome is extremely frustrating, especially given that I have been a Hotels.com member for over 15 years and have always trusted your platform for reliable service.
While I understand if a small cancellation fee applies, denying the full $175 refund is unreasonable under these circumstances. I request that you review this case and issue either a full or partial refund, or at the very least, a Hotels.com credit for the amount.
I have always preferred Hotels.com for its convenience and customer focus, but experiences like this make me reconsider and explore alternatives such as Airbnb, Marriott, or Hilton, which offer more flexible refund policies and loyalty benefits.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I hope for a fair resolution soon.

Equipe da recepção muito educada. MAS 4 noites e não arrumaram o quarto nenhum dia, mesmo pedindo. Quarto gelado mesmo tendo pwdido parar arrumar o aquecimento. Arrumadeira abriu a porta, não arrumaou e deixou porta aberta o dia todo
La calefacción estaba muy alta y no había posibilidad de bajarla (el mando no funcionaba), sólo podía apagarse solicitándolo en recepción. En un momento dejó de funcionar la luz mediante las tarjetas de acceso a la habitación, tuvo que venir un técnico y conectar la electricidad de forma directa. La lámpara general de la habitación no funcionaba, el mismo técnico tuvo que cambiarla. Dejamos el cartel para la limpieza de la habitación, pero al regresar estaba todo igual. Tuvimos que solicitar la limpieza en la recepción al día siguiente y entonces lo hicieron.

Le bruit de l'aération nous a empêché de dormir toute la nuits. C'était insupportable on est venue ce reposer cela na pas été le cas j'espère que cela sera pris en compte pour vos prochains client chambre 313 .merci
Menage laisse a désirer pas mal de cheveux d'autres personnes SDB et chambre pas mal de poussière dans les angles de la chambre, besoin d'un bon nettoyage du carrelage dans la douche . Nous avons été très bien accueilli , petit déjeuner excellent et personnel au petit soin et d'une gentillesse exceptionnelle.
Comme on n'arrivait pas à baisser la température en dessous des 20 ° programmés, on a éteint la climatisation /chauffage pour la nuit. La chambre était relativement calme malgré la proximité de la rue passante.
Chambre bloquée dans les années 80 : baignoire et WC plein de calcaire, des bestioles dans la salle de bain qui partent se cacher sous le lavabo lorsqu'on allume la lumière, lames de parquet avec des jours d'un centimètre, ménage quotidien non réalisé (aucun passage pour 4 nuits sur place), matelas de 5cm d'épaisseur qui ne tiens pas en place sur le sommier.
L'espace commun est dans l'ensemble OK, sauf le micro ondes qui n'a jamais été nettoyé de la semaine : le plateau était vraiment sale avec des traces de toute sorte d'aliments (fromage fondu et autre) ; et les moquettes et murs des couloirs ne doivent pas être nettoyé très souvent...
Et ça affiche 3 étoiles à l'entrée de l'hôtel ?!
Ibis bijzonder slecht, het enige als ik probeer iets positiefs te zeggen is de grootte van de kamer, warm water in de douche en de tv.
Ontvangst zeer matig, kamer met kakkerlak, bad zonder douchegordijn, wc spoelde bijna niet door, zeer gehorig. Bedden worden bij meerdaags verblijf niet opgemaakt en handdoeken niet gewisseld. Ik verblijf heel vaak in hotels maar deze staat echt onderin mijn lijst, jammer want ik had echt wat verwacht van Ibis.

Le propreté de la chambre plus les lieux en commun était clairement discutable. Quand on a évoqué notre opinion on avait le réponse que ‘ tout le monde perdre des cheveux du coup c’est normal de les trouver dans le lit et dans le lavabo’ sur d’un manière très aimable….
Personne n'est venu faire le ménage de la chambre malgré un séjour de 4 nuits.
De plus quelqu'un a ouvert ma porte une nuit à 2h du matin.
