Built in the early 13th century by Frederick II of Hohenstaufen, this castle had an eventful history before being destroyed. The route de Mittelhausbergen, where our studio is located, is one of the two structural axes of the suburb and its name simply comes from the fact that it led from Strasbourg to the village of Mittelhausbergen. The district truly developed in the 19th century with the arrival of the railway and the establishment of the famous Hatt brewery, later known as the Kronenbourg brewery. |
