"Property is very tired and in desperate need of TLC upgrades. Having said that it’s homely and the Staff are welcoming, friendly and very professional and helpful. Pets are welcome and all rooms have sea views. The food is plentiful and very good. Will certainly return again. "

"Beaitiful castle in a stunning setting. The rhododendrons were all in bloom and there are magical walks along the paths through the grounds to the nearby island. Dinner and breakfast were delicious with fresh local produce. Staff were all lovely to us and we had a really special weekend. "

"Arrived to a luke warm welcome. The bedroom window was wide open, to air the room, which was damp. The reception area stank of cigarettes smoke. The carpets are so grubby, some steps the carpet is held together with gaffer tape. When we said we wouldn’t be staying because it wasn’t suitable and damp and in general disrepair. We weren’t offered any incentive to stay or give an option for a better room. This hotel would have been amazing in the 1980’s but has indeed lost all its charm. "

"Cottages are lovely,restaraunt was very nice,we had breakfast and that was very good(although i never got my egg!). Not too sure about the swimming pool area,mrs thought it wasnt clean,the water very cold. We went off peak,so wasnt too busy,weather terrible as well(not the hotels fault for that). Went on ferry to Tarbert,was very disappointed,theres nothing to see and do,lots of places closed."

"We had a wonderful, relaxing stay in the St Ninian’s flat, this was real value for money!! The view was my favourite part. Fully equipped, close to bus stop and super comfy beds. Thanks Lian and Ian! 😁"

"Our Dog was welcomed. Very friendly and approachable staff, our room was as expected clean and exactly what we required as being disabled, on the ground floor and a walk in shower. We had no problems getting there, and being there, staff were excellent and attentive, Especially Gavin GM. Dale HM, and Pete the Executive Chef. Other staff were friendly and helpful too. We had a great stay."
