An awesome experience with fantastic hosts. We will certainly be back to stay at Hippo’s rest on our next visit to the UK. Loved the cottage and amenities, the village life experience with warm-hearted neighbours who were careful not to intrude, but also very welcoming as a community. Lots to see and do with plenty of pamphlets and information. We felt right at home and had such a good experience we extended our holiday by a week, very lucky they had it available! A fantastic holiday!

Hippos Rest is a wonderful, cosy, well equipped cottage with everything you could possibly need.
Hippos Rest is a wonderful, cosy, well equipped cottage with everything you could possibly need. Lovely cotton bedding and towels and decorated beautifully throughout. Very generous welcome pack including 6 free range eggs! It has lovely views of fields with ducks, chickens and turkeys roaming freely and were entertaining to watch. Lots of interesting places to visit nearby but a car needed. Would recommend Biddulph Gardens and Country park, Mow Cop Castle, Little Moreton Hall, Quarry Bank Cotton Museum and the Pottery Museum. Really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.

A very comfortable accommodation with all the amenities you need for a relaxing holiday.
A very comfortable accommodation with all the amenities you need for a relaxing holiday. Kerry and Ian work hard to provide a clean and comfortable home from home. Plenty to do in the area.
