This is the 2nd time we have stayed at Amthweight Hall, the accommodation was excellent, as was the staff, they couldn't do enough for you. The breakfast was 10 out of 10, and again, very helpful, as my wife wanted her coffee a paticular temperature, and strength, they bent over backwards to make her perfect cup of coffee !! The grounds and the building, are kept immaculate. The Spa facilities, again 10 out of 10, gym, sauna, steam room, plunge pool, swimming pool and outside hot pool, plenty of loungers. Looking forward to our next stay.

Our room, on the first floor, was excellent with lovely views. The food was of a high quality and the service was very good except on one of our three evenings when we were forgotten about and it took at least three complaints to get our meal started. On this occasion we were in the restaurant for about two hours and it took 45 minutes before we got our starter. This was a shame because otherwise everything was perfect.

One of the highlights of our Northumberland road trip, Langley Castle felt like such a treat, packed with character, history and atmosphere. We ate really well, and there’s something magical about waking up in the grounds of a centuries old castle; it made the whole stay feel genuinely memorable and special. The only small downside for us was accessibility. My mother has limited mobility and found the stairs difficult, so we used the service lift to reach the drawing room. Even so, in a six hundred year old castle you can only expect so much, and the team were helpful when we needed a bit of extra support whicih made it even more fun. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would happily recommend it. Thankyou!!
