We really enjoyed our stay and the views were terrific, particularly in the morning with the fog on the horizon.

We loved this house in the beautiful little village of Kippen. It is close to Stirling and makes a great spot to tour the entire area including Edinburgh and Glasgow. The home is clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. We had a wonderful time.
Everything about this accommodation was perfect for our family of eight. The house size fit all of us, the location was ideal with easy access to everything we needed within an easy walk or drive and the area was beautiful. We appreciated having access to both a washer and a dryer during our stay. We would highly recommend this property.
Perfect Family-Friendly Hilltop Property with Spectacular Views
I highly recommend this hilltop property! The manager was an excellent communicator and very responsive and helpful and the views from the property were spectacular. My family (4 adults and 2 children) had a wonderful time there. The amenities were excellent and we enjoyed walking into town for the local cafes, pubs and inns. The kids kept busy on relaxing day with the family games provided. We stayed for 5 nights and the outdoor space and gardens were great for relaxing and enjoying the views. This property is a great place to relax and create an unforgettable experience.
We had four couples vacationing in Scotland for the better part of 10 days and we booked St.Michael's for our lodging. We attended the the Open at Royal Troon, we played golf at various courses, we visited Stirling, Edinburgh and Glasgow, and found that our location at St. Michael's was the ideal spot to be in. Car and train transportation was easy to access, and a walk into the local pub in Kippen was delightful.
Our hosts were excellent communicators from the very beginning, and we found the house not only to be very clean and bright, but oh so comfortable! We took advantage of utilizing every area of the house to relax and enjoy each others' company as well as siting on the wonderful patio and enjoying Scottish sunsets!
We would definitely stay there again and more importantly, we will be highly recommending St. Michael's to our friends who plan to visit western Scotland in the future!

Beautiful St Michael’s
Our group of eight spent a lovely week at beautiful St Michael’s in Kippen. The house is spotless & the gardens are beautiful. Some highlights include the back deck overlooking incredible scenery of pastures, mountains, trees and unforgettable sunsets. Also, the beds are very comfortable, we had plenty of hot water and places to relax between the two large sitting rooms, the deck and dining room. The kitchen is well appointed with everything one could need for meals and having the washer & dryer is wonderful. It’s a quiet and peaceful place for a getaway. Working with Stirling Self-Catering was a great experience. Thank you to Kirsteen & Kelly who answered every question thoroughly and timely. Also, thank you to the delightful house manager, Carole, who came to the house and greeted us with flowers. She was also very helpful with local knowledge. We highly recommend St Michael’s and would stay there again.

Large, comfortable house with amazing views. Perfect in so many ways.
I have just returned from a fabulous long weekend stay at St Michael’s with a group of close friends. We arranged to have a grocery delivery on the 1st evening- the driver had no issues locating the house and it certainly got our weekend off to a great start not having to lug in lots of heavy grocery bags.
The views from the lounge, deck and numerous bedrooms of the Trossachs Hills were stunning – clear, dark skies at night also made for some fantastic star and galaxy gazing lying under a blanket on the deck.
Well-equipped kitchen – everything has been thought of and more! The Dining Room made for a memorable birthday night meal and made us feel like we were in a fine dining restaurant due to the classy décor, comfortable chairs and ambient lighting.
The beds had thee most comfortable mattresses any of us have ever slept on in a holiday home – matched with high-quality bedding, pillows and duvets made for a fantastic night’s sleep also helped by the blackout roller blinds and black out Roman blinds In place in each bedroom.
The lounge at the back of the house has ample seating and is also equipped with a great Niam sound system ( a bit like a Sonos system but much easier to use!)
The management company provide a great digital Welcome Folder which is sent to you electronically prior to arrival so you have all the information you need like Wi-Fi login, waste and recycling information, departure instructions, and places to eat and visit at your fingertips. Check-in instructions were also very clear and easy to manage on arrival after a long drive.
The house is clearly well maintained and looked after by the owners and it is also one of the cleanest holiday homes we have come across. Top marks to the cleaning team!
A great range of walks from the doorstep helped us burn off the wonderful meal we had at The Inn at Kippen which is only a few minutes’ walk from the house.
Friendly local shop stocked with everything you could need and more is also only a few minutes away on foot.
All in all, this is a fantastic property to stay in: well equipped, high-quality fixtures and fittings, top-notch beds and bedding and easily accessible from both Glasgow and Edinburgh airports.
You will not be disappointed if you choose to book and stay here.

An excellent holiday home
My family spent a week at St Michael's. The house is in an excellent location for the local attractions - just 40 mins from Loch Lomond and 15 minutes by car to Stirling.
The view from the house was stunning and the house was very comfortable, spacious and clean.

Beautiful hilltop location, very clean and comfortable
We stayed at St. Michael's for ten days and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and well-equipped. The views from the master bedroom and from the family room are stunning. Kippen is a lovely little village, with two good restaurants, a yummy cafe, a small store and friendly locals, who like to engage with visitors and make recommendations. Also, there are a number of footpaths leading from the village. So, we were able to hike whenever we desired. The location is perfect for exploring the Sterling area. I did not want to leave!

Fantastic stay at St Michael’s in Kippen
I highly recommend St. Michaels in Kippen. It is an excellent well-equipped property with all the amenities one would hope for. As regards living space in addition to a living room and dining room the accommodation has a large TV/ playroom suitable for children with plenty of games and toys to keep them occupied. The property has a lovely outside raised patio for dining ( weather permitting ) with superb expansive views. There is also a quiet public children,s playpark a short walk away. The village has a couple of reasonably good pub/restaurants within walking distance and within a short drive away there are many attractions such as a safari park and nature reserve. Of course the glorious Scottish countryside is on your doorstep. My family ( 4 adults and 3 children ) thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
