The Mountain House at Indian Meadows is an amazing Steamboat vacation rental. Situated steps from the Yampa River and Yampa River core trail, its only 1.4 miles from the resort and 2.5 miles downtown. You are about 200 steps away from a bus stop, and the free bus that takes you to the resort, town, groceries and more. This two level townhome is perfect for multiple and extended families, couples or a boys or girls trip (it will comfortably sleep 8 adults).
The townhome itself lives more like a home and was recently renovated, including new flooring, furniture and paint throughout. The property is immaculate and literally just about everything in it is brand new. You will love being here and not want to leave.

Off the living area, you can access both the back deck and the kitchen. The back deck has incredible slope views, a grill and is on a wooded, open space and only steps to the river and core trail. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you will need to cook a meal including all of the appliances, big or small, pots and pans, dishes, utensils and more than you could think of. There is even a nice little nook for your pup, including a water bowl.
There is also a powder room and full size washer and dryer on this level.
The top floor has all three bedrooms. One with a queen bed, one with two twins (that can be converted to a king bed upon request) and the other has three twin beds (bunk bed and trundle). Originally started as a summer resort destination, Steamboat has become renowned for its world-class skiing and mountain biking options. And your Steamboat vacation rental will put your family in the middle of it all.
Winter activities include skiing, snowmobiling, snowboarding, biking, sledding and fishing. The city houses two ski areas – Steamboat and Howelsen Hill, Colorado's oldest continuously operated ski area. Or simply play in the smooth, dry snow, referred to as Champagne Powder, for which Steamboat is known.
Mountain biking is huge in Steamboat. Known as Bike Town USA, the city has trails for all ages and skill levels. Hundreds of miles of single track, as well as over 50 miles of downhill and freeride terrain.
** In March 2020 when the resort shut down, we gave refunds for any unused nights and would do that again.

Wonderful

Close to a little lake and the creek. Easy trails to walk or bike into town. The only thing I would emphasize is that this is on the flats about four miles east of town.

Great place to stay with a family
This unit was exactly as presented. Clean, spacious, plenty of storage. Plenty of cooking/grilling tools. The area was quiet and right next to a walking/running/biking path. Our family had a great stay here.

Thanksgiving in Steamboat!
We had a lovely stay at this charming townhome over Thanksgiving weekend! The accommodations were comfortable, well-maintained, and it fit our large family, all while providing a cozy atmosphere for our getaway. The location was ideal, with easy access to local attractions and beautiful scenery. It was a perfect base for our adventures in Steamboat. Overall, we had a great experience and definitely recommend it to others! We really enjoyed walking the short distance to the hotel for a meal.

Convenient location and a quiet condo.
This location and condo met the needs of guests aged 18 to 85. All bedrooms are upstairs, but the handrail and stairs were fine for my elderly parents. We also brought our old dog, who loved walking along the paved path behind the condo. The house is located just a few minutes by car from downtown.

Great stay and location
The condo was perfect for our needs on our four night stay. We especially loved the location and convenience to everything in town.
The house was a great place for us to kick off our ski adventures and to come back to rest after!

Steamboat Indian Meadows condo
We stayed here with our dog for a weekend wedding SW of town. Location was perfect for getting on trail to downtown & to the park for our dog to run & play off leash. Beds were comfortable & a tv in all 3 bedrooms & large screen tv in living room. Kitchen had well stocked cookware & appliances. Convenient parking. Easy access to Hwy 40, but far enough away so no highway noise. Definitely would come again.

Great location
We had an amazing time and loved being so close to the trail and the Yampa river. We had everything we needed and the entire house was so well stocked and comfortable.
The townhome is in a great location if you want to enjoy the outdoors. Easy access to trails and a quick drive or bike ride downtown. We didn't cook, but noticed the kitchen is not well-equipped...just the basics. The views are gorgeous and the neighborbood quiet. We enjoyed our stay with out pups!
We enjoyed everything about our stay in Steamboat! Thank you Jason for accommodating us with our pets. We had a wonderful Christmas 🥰

Could have been better
Well other than it being pet friendly there weren’t a ton of other pluses. The beds were very uncomfortable. The house could have definitely been a lot cleaner than it was when we arrived, and if the mop under the stairs is what is being used to clean the floors, gross that thing was filthy. It might be a ok place for a weekend but my week stay wasn’t as comfortable as I would have liked.
The house was great for the four of us (two adults and two dogs). We enjoy being outside is town so it's quiet when we were relaxing. It's a short 5 minute drive to downtown which is great. The house location is great because there is a path just behind the place which is a beautiful walk around Steamboat. The house itself would be great for four people, the place has enough beds for 7 (4a adults and three kids unless the adults like sleeping in bunk beds). There is only one full bath which could make it long for everyone to get ready, there is a half bath on the main floor. Bed was comfortable. The deck was really nice to have for late afternoon relaxing.
Kitchen is stocked with cooking needs, when we were there, there were no staples like salt, pepper, and oil to cook with. The owners reached out and said they could have some brought but we had already purchased our own. We would use this place again for sure. The rating of 4 stars is due to the extra cooking items we needed to buy and the sightly outdated cabinets in the kitchen and bathrooms. For the total cost of staying here we would expect just a bit more. Allowing dogs was a big reason we chose the property as the per day fee extra for them was fine. If you want something just outside of downtown I recommend this place.
Enjoyed our short stay here. Accommodated myself and my wife, my parents in their 70's, 2 sons and most importantly our dog. Great communication from host.
We had a large group. The three bedrooms provided space for everybody. Since the property was pet friendly we brought our dog. Available bus stop nearby provides a convenient means to get around.

5 Stars!
Our Airbnb in Steamboat was managed by iTrips. Set up our special internet needs quickly and dealt with the inevitable issues over the three month stay pronto. Very attentive and friendly. Would recommend them to anyone.
Not clean and poorly maintained. Misleading listing.
Worst property or hotel/motel I've EVER stayed at. Shower tile was moldy and shower curtain absolutely gross. Floor had a coating of dust, deck was covered in dirt and dust, all the screens had holes. Beds in twin bed room too close to closet to be able to use closet. Shades were disgusting and not useable in bunk room. Listing was incredibly misleading with an "owner fee" that added 70% to the cost. Horrible experience for lots of $.
