About this property
3 min walk to ski access! 2 Story chalet original to mountain!
**Stay Play Steamboat**
Welcome to our family’s Steamboat retreat, loved since 1975 and now cared for by a second-generation sibling duo. One of the original resort units in the area, this 3-bedroom, 2-bath end unit offers a true slice of Steamboat Springs history—blending cozy charm with unbeatable slope access.
Location, Location, Location!
• Ski-in/ski-out access just a 3-minute walk away! Skip the hassle of parking, lugging gear, or corralling tired kids (I was carrying my own skis down this short walk by age 4!). From there, ski down and then hop on the gondola! A map of the ski access point is available on request.
Cozy Mountain Living
• After a day on the slopes, gather in front of the wood-burning fireplace in a living room framed by dramatic two-story windows on three sides. • The open floor plan makes it easy to relax, entertain, and stay connected—whether you’re enjoying a family dinner at the dining table or sipping a quiet morning coffee in the kitchen nook.
Room for Everyone
• Upstairs, three bedrooms comfortably sleep your crew, each with a queen bed and closet space. •The spacious loft bedroom features a folding wooden privacy wall for flexibility, a full length mirror, and walk-in closet. • The primary bedroom boasts a balcony with mountain views and a TV with Roku streaming. • The middle bedroom is great for kids and offers a small desk and closet. • The upstairs bath includes a dual-sink vanity and a separate tiled tub/shower space, while the downstairs bath offers a walk-in shower.
Thoughtful Details
• Entrance foyer with ski racks & “wet room” setup • Roku TV in living room with guest mode allows you to login to all of your usual subscriptions and live streaming. • Complimentary highspeed WiFi. • Two dedicated parking spaces. • Free city bus stops at the end of the street. • Dining for 8 + for easy hosting and family dinners.
Local Experiences
When you’re not on the slopes, enjoy Steamboat’s famous hot springs. Strawberry Park Hot Springs and Old Town Hot Springs are both just minutes away—soak in the natural mineral waters surrounded by mountain views, year-round. Steamboat's natural hot springs are much cleaner and more theraputic than traditional hot tubs!
**A Note on Accessibility**
Our home maintains its original mountain character, including narrow spiral stairs inside and exterior stairs from the parking lot. Please review photos carefully, as this layout may not be ideal for guests with mobility challenges.

We had a great time! The place is beautiful and perfect for a cozy day in or to come home to after a long day on the mountain. This place was magical! And the host was quick to respond, and very nice.
Great location! Had everything we needed to cook at the condo. Host very responsive to questions. Appreciated all the detailed information before arriving and the notebook.
This was one of the best locations we could have booked for a late season snowboard trip. Clean, cozy, and absolutely comfortable. Close to Steamboat ski with easy access,. Will 100% book again.
We love saying at this location. Victoria is so responsive, check in is a breeze and has plenty of space for our family. We return every year and love it.
We loved our stay which made it easy to get to the mountain and had plenty of space for 5 of us. There is an “80s charm” to the place with a slightly sunken living room and vintage furniture. Will look to be back next year!
This place had a cool vibe and a really spacious living area. The wood stove was perfect with as we watched the snow dump outside through the giant vertical windows. Convenient to the slopes...pay attention to the "ski in" instructions because it will save you a little uphill walking from the "ski out" area.
Excellent location. There were 6 of us so the flexibility of coming and going to the slopes was convenient. The kitchen was well equipped and the condo had everything we needed. The narrow spiral stairs were a little tricky with getting luggage up and down and the bedrooms are pretty small.
We loved this place. The aesthetic is definitely retro and the circular staircase is not for the faint of heart. But the furniture is comfy and the views are beautiful. Just a short walk down the street to slope access and short walk home off the slopes.
Overall was satisfied with the accommodations and location. Bus stop is just down from the parking lot and you can travel most places in Steamboat by bus which is free. Having all of the sleeping areas upstairs was not a problem but the circular stairs to the sleeping areas might be difficult for some people. I would recommend and consider staying again.
We promised our tween and teen daughters a white Christmas, and it was dreamy. Great communication with the helpful and friendly owner. The spiral staircase was no problem because we are a petite family, but rather than trying to lug our big ski luggage upstairs, I would bag items for each family member so our main luggage always remained on floor one. Highly recommend.
The location was good. The house seemed clean, just dated. Decor felt like 70s decor but was comfortable. The host was nice, and communication was great. The spiral stairs made for a good story later. They were narrow, and we had to put some work in, getting our bags up and down them. All the rooms are upstairs.Stairs inside and outside, so be prepaired, lots of stairs. We were winded but probably in better shape by the time we left. -Haha
We love the spaciousness of the condo and its proximity to the mountain. The description and the photographs were spot on! The condo is dated, which wasn’t an issue at all. You definitely need a vehicle if you’re gonna be staying here as it is quite difficult to get shuttles from that location, although it’s not impossible. The only reason why I deducted a star was because when we arrived, although it was extremely cold, it took two days for the apartment to come up to temperature. The rooms upstairs were incredibly hot at night and the first floor was very, very cold. We did happen to arrive during an incredibly cold part of the season. It just made it quite uncomfortable to lounge.
This was a lovely base camp in Steamboat Springs to explore the mountains, hot springs, and the town. We had a great time and enjoyed the accomodations.
