"Good hotel for the price. There seemed to only be one staff member working at a time. When we arrived, we had to ring the bell for service and she came from doing laundry. We witnessed another customer ringing it several times. Our tv didn't work when we got to our room, and the same woman that checked us in came to fix it, and she was on the phone when she came in. She stated she has to do this several times a day. She had a very good attitude about it though. We went to breakfast around 7:30. I used the last biscuit and didn't see them bring more out before we left. Again, one employee seemed to be managing the food and the service desk. Altogether, for the price, it was worth the stay."

"Barefoot Bungalow is a GEM! Val’s decorating is spot on for a Bass Lake house and her amenities are perfect. Val’s home is clean and exactly as described. Also, her communication rating earns her a A!The 1st floor primary bedroom, en-suite and laundry were so helpful and appreciated, as I just had a total knee replaced 12 days ago. My only one negative thing to say is why do we have to leave so soon (the week flew by)! We will be back. Thanks Val!"

"We stayed at the retreat among the pines while my daughter was in town to take the ACT, and it could not have been a better fit for what we needed.The space was peaceful, comfortable, and incredibly well appointed. Every detail felt thoughtful. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, the shower was fantastic, and the quiet setting among the trees made it easy to relax and get a great night's sleep before a big test day. We especially loved the views from the deck and only wished we'd had more time to sit outside and enjoy them.The hosts were wonderful and went above and beyond when we accidentally left items behind, making the recovery process easy and stress-free. Great restaurant recommendations in their binder. We chose Frida's and it was fantastic.A perfect retreat for anyone looking to rest, recharge, and enjoy a beautiful setting. We would gladly stay again. "
