Welcome to my quintessential French-themed vintage property in Stamford. I have personally thought through all of the amenities and attractions and endeavour to provide you with all the comforts of home. The surrounding area has a lot to offer and is sure to make your stay, one of a kind. Stamford is a wonderful historic town, with much to see and do. You won't get bored!
This property has a coal fire to keep you cosy and warm during your stay. You will have to supply logs or a bag of coal for your use. There is a smart meter for your heating which is connected via my app on the wall in the lounge so all you have to do to boost is press the white button.
Staying here also allows you access to the private, fairy-lit court yard garden with Pergola and outside dining. There is a breakfast bar and a table plus chairs in the living room. There are persian rugs for comfort.
I am a big dog/Animal lover, so you are most welcome to bring your best friend with you, so long as they are very well behaved and trained. I do refrain from dogs going up the stairs, To keep sanitation to a minimum. There are dog gates provided should you need to use them. Small dogs are more suitable.
As a self-catering house, you will find everything you need for a perfect stay.
The kitchen has a SMEG fridge/freezer, a hob, an oven, a toaster, a kettle, a cafatierre, and a microwave. Also all the essential cutlery etc., plus coffee, tea, sugar, etc.,....The best place to get any food shopping closest to you, is Marks & Spencers, which is literally round the left top corner, past the Vets and on the right! You also have a Waitrose, Sainsburys, Morrisons, Tescos (small), and a new Aldi.
The house is a perfect relaxing place and offers a smart television,
fast internet access for work trips, or just for leisure, plus Alexa. Sky, Netflix and Prime are included, all paid for movies must be paid through your account. Do take note that the wooden stairs are quite steep so not advised for elderly people that's may struggle. Also mindful of toddlers. There is a stair gate to keep little ones safe.
This house has 2 very comfortable bedrooms that can comfortably sleep 4. Both, have King Size beds.
There is one bathroom, with a copper Roll Top bath, which has the original Victorian sink, and toilet and the bath has a shower over it and connected to the tub is the twin shower head. The light pull is on a dimmer switch, so gently pull once for low lighting up to higher lighting, but please don't pull too hard or it will break.
Linen, towels, essential toiletries, a hair dryer and an iron are all included to make your stay more comfortable.
House Rules:
- Check-in time is 3pm and check-out is 11am for your comfort.
- Smoking is not allowed in or outside of the property.
- There is free parking opposite the property plus a paid-for car park 300 metres from the property. (Wharf Road Car Park)
- A washing machine and tumble dryer are included for your use.
- Strictly no parties are allowed as this is a conservation area. Please respect the privacy and quietness of your neighbours.
NEW RULES
ALL RUBBISH MUST BE TAKEN WITH YOU. As I am not based at the property to collect it.
Any damages or breakages must be reported to me directly. All towels are monitored and should you decide to take one for your own use, you will be charged. So please refrain from taking anything out of my property as this listing is strict and a fine will be served by the company you booked with and removed from that listing. Sorry for having to add this but I have had issues with light fingered guests! The house is photographed before and after each stay and reported back to me.
You will love Stamford and Wells House, Burghley House is on your door step plus many lovely culinary restaurants offering, french, Italian, greek and indian food and British fine dining. Lots of great shops too, including, Fairfax & Favour, Neals Yard, Oliver Bonas, Mint Velvet and Energy clothing to name but a few!
PARKING: Parking is free opposite the property, however does get very busy, Wharf Road car park is approx 300 metres on your left of the property.
