"This hotel far exceeded my expectations. I paid £55 for a night's bed and breakfast on a Saturday (the Travelodge nearby was £150 room only!). The common areas (reception and bar) were very nicely decorated / furnished and felt more like a higher priced hotel. The room was nicely done with well thought out lighting / socket placement, very fresh smelling bedding and it was exceptionally (spotlessly!) clean. Breakfast was very good (tinned fruit being the only giveaway this was a budget hotel), great selection for a full English with quality ingredients, fresh pastries. All the staff were lovely, very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again if in the area, it would be my first choice."

"Staff were really helpful and friendly. Room was clean but showing some signs of wear and tear. Breakfast was really great quality, though the coffee machine was a bit weak (coffee bar on site, not included, was very good and excellent value) Gym and pool facilities were really good, but a bit of a maze to navigate. Overall excellent, will definitely come back."
