"Highly recommend the Gasthof Lend-Platzl. Beautifully appointed rooms, friendly service, great little in-house restaurant with outdoor dining, and all at a very reasonable price. Location is also very attractive, as it sits in a bustling neighborhood between the main train station and the old city center; still with the convenience of being direct in the city center without the pure tourist feel of a few blocks further east. "Sheets had faecal matter stains and a full ashtray was left on the balcony.
When I complained the next morning compensation was offered by means of a free breakfast.
Went to get my consolation prize breakfast but there was nothing laid out so I had a miserable double espresso and left in disgust.
Hotels.com gave me a $25 hush voucher.
The only positive thing about this was the checkin help on the phone number provided, the girl was very helpful.

"The location is great overall. It's very close to the city center, but far enough from the city noise. The building is quite old, so I noticed that part of the floor is slightly slanted and the room layout is a bit strange because of a column. But it gives the place a nice charm. The staff was nice too. If location matters to you, I would definitely recommend this hotel."
