Perfect in every way!

A very sizable property perfectly manicured and very private. Every detail in the home and pool house facility are attended to with care and Jordan, the owner was always readily available for help and advice. It is the finest VRBO property at which we have stayed and we use VRBO frequently in our travels. I don’t know which other languages Jordan speaks but his English is excellent. We had two adult couples with plenty of room including indoor and outdoor kitchens and living and dining spaces. The property can easily accommodate more people particularly if there were two families.

Best ever visit to Provence

Fabulous villa with exceptional facilities, perfectly placed for all that Saint Remy has to provide. Jordan is the perfect host providing all the information and help that you could want. Would not hesitate to recommend Mas Chante-Merle as the perfect place to spend time in Provence. Already looking at booking next year!

Incredible stay

As with all things on line I had braced myself for the usual disappointment, places not appearing as they do in photos, lack of communication and general hassle, but I couldn't have been more surprised. Firstly the host. Jordan was perfect, quick and easy communication, helpful when our flights were cancelled and we ended up driving last minute, polite, speaks perfect English which is more than can be said for our embarrassing French skills! Then the Villa. If anything, as beautiful as the photos are, the house is even better in real life. Wonderfully laid out with nice thoughtful touches which lead to a complete relaxed and great holiday. The location is a short walk into the centre of St Remy, with a well stocked super market just over the road and boulangerie within a few minutes walk for fresh breakfast croissants and bread. I cannot recommend this property and hoist enough 10 out 10!

Fabulous Vacation home in great location!

I spent a long time looking for the perfect vacation home in the Provence area. I am so glad I did because I can't imagine a more wonderful place to stay. First of all the location is great - the town of St Remy de Provence is a great place to visit in itself, great restaurants and bars, shopping and an AMAZING market on Wednesday (don't miss this!!) Also, don't miss the Van Gough museum - really well done and so interesting. We did a lot of sightseeing and most of the places we wanted to go - Nimes, Pont du Gard, lavender fields, Avignon etc. were within an easy 30 - 45 minute drive. Now onto the house - an older home that has been beautifully renovated with high quality finishes. The kitchen had everything you could need - we prepared at least one meal a day here. The bedrooms were good size with comfortable beds and spacious closets. The air conditioning was very effective and we definitely needed it! The ONLY down side is that there is only 1 bathroom in the house. So, it was a bit of a juggle in the morning - BUT there is a very modern bathroom attached to the pool house so you can manage. Just be aware that some of you may need to exit the house to take care of bathroom needs. The POOL and the pool house were really the best thing about the house, we LOVED this area and used it everyday. We ate every breakfast here and several lunches and dinners. Very relaxing, beautiful and incredibly well equipped. Overall, this truly is an amazing place to stay. Jordan, the owner could not be more responsive to your needs. THANK YOU!! We will be returning next year for sure :)

Perfect house in the perfect location.

Everything was perfect, from when we met Jordan at the gate to when we left. The house is immaculate with everything you need (and more). The pool and outside kitchen/room is perfect. A very short walk to the centre of St Remy. Everything is on your doorstep.

Wonderful Haven of Peace and Tranquility

This is a beautiful spot, an old house skilfully renovated and made modern. This house has everything anyone could possibly want for a comfortable holiday……..and then there is the pool and garden. It is very peaceful and secluded. With all that St Remy has to offer within walking distance, it is a perfect holiday location.

Exceptionnel!

Quelle semaine! Elle a commencé avec un accueil chaleureux. Nous nous sommes installés dans une maison exceptionnelle, très propre, bien équipée, avec tout ce qu’il nous fallait, pour passer des vacances très agréables. Avec le beau temps nous avons pu profité de la piscine, le terrain de pétanque, la cuisine/salle à manger/ salon, tous en extérieur dans un jardin de rêve. On a loué des maisons les années précédentes mais Mas Chante-Merle c’est le top, 10/10 😊 Merci Jordan!

Wow ....just Incredible

We had a fabulous week in one amazing property. This property was perfect in everyway, not only is it Immaculate, the location is great for walks into St Remy. Jordan the owner could not be any more helpful, so friendly and kind. The pictures are exactly as it is, we cannot wait to hopefully return soon.

Beautiful villa with superb amenities

Un havre de paix

Après un accueil soigné et convivial nous avons pu découvrir une maison très agréable au milieu d’un écrin de verdure avec de très belles prestations : un vrai « bijou » C’est un endroit parfait pour y séjourner en famille ou entre amis On se sent très vite en vacances Tout y est , on ne peut que s’y détendre et tout cela à 500 m du centre et 100 m des commerces Encore un grand merci Jordan !!!

Absoluteley Fantastic!!!

We have stayed in a few rented villas and I can say without hesitation this is the highest recommendation. The house and gardens are beautiful. If you think the photos look 'great' you will be amazed on arrival. Jordan was the best host we have ever had. Everything is pristine and his level of service and support was outstanding. I cant recommend this property highly enough...only reluctant to do so as we would like to come back and fear it will be booked! Thanks Jordan. Really appreciated your hospitality.

Gorgeous property close to town centre

We stayed for a week at this gorgeous home. It had so much character and had absolutely everything that you'd need. It really is as lovely as the photos featured on the website. The weather was really warm while we were there so we made use of the pool every day and spent a lot of time in the outdoor cabana/ living area. We ate dinner outside most nights. I really can't say enough about how much we loved our weeks stay. It would be ideal for a group of friends traveling together, as we were, or a family with older children. It was also in easy walking distance from the Saint Remy town centre. We'd love to stay again. Thanks for being such a great host Jordan.

5-Star Gem Vacation Home in St. Remy-de-Provence!

Three couples--my wife and I and our sons and their wives—spent a glorious week at Mas Chante de Merle and we could not have been more pleased with the property. This is the perfect Provencal getaway for a family gathering, with everything one might need for a joyous, relaxing stay. The ancient stone farmhouse, featuring three spacious bedrooms (four, if you count the bedroom loft) and two full baths, has been beautifully renovated, strategically modernized, and includes individual air-conditioning in each room and a well-equipped kitchen. Limestone walkways from the main house lead to the heated pool, spa, boules court, and outdoor kitchen-dining facility where we spent many delightful hours swimming, Jacuzzi-ing, petonc-ing, eating, and, of course, rosé-sipping. The house and grounds were gorgeous, comfortable, immaculate, and extremely well-maintained. Jordan, the owner, is a wonderful, available host, with thoughtful tips on restaurants, St. Remy market day, and other things to explore in the region. The house is an easy 5-minute walk to the center of St. Remy, a 2-minute walk to the supermarket (open until 7:30 PM), and a 3-minute walk to a boutique wine shop where the owner will converse with you about Bandols, Brouillys, and other fine wines both local and distant. St. Remy itself is an ideal hub for exploring the region. Don't miss Pont-du-Gard, Nimes, Arles, the Camargue, Baux-de-Province, Roussillon, Cassis and its calanques, and do explore St. Remy itself, especially on market day (Wednesday). Mas Chante de Merle is a refreshing gated retreat, and an ideal base of operations for appealing day trips. My family and I highly recommend it.

Que dire de notre séjour …. Une merveilleuse découverte ! Le Mas Chante Merle est étudié pour que chaque personne y trouve sa place et son confort. Chaque pièce respire le bien-être, le confort, la modernité et la zénitude. Notre regard s'est émerveillé au fil de la découverte du lieux. Jordan n'a pas son pareil pour mettre toute la famille à l'aise, il fait preuve de beaucoup de gentillesse et il a une disponibilité de tous les instants. Je ne me lasse pas de l'entendre nous parler de cette si belle région, de Saint-Rémy et des Alpilles. Nous garderons pour un bon moment de merveilleux souvenirs de ce Mas qui pour nous était tout simplement magique. magnifique !

Très belle semaine en famille dans ce superbe mas Chante-Merle qui présente en plus de son côté provençal tout le confort moderne. Magnifique jardin avec une très belle piscine et son poolhouse remarquablement aménagé. Où que les yeux se portent tout est beau, équilibré et magnifiquement décoré.Côté pratique les commerces sont à 2 minutes à pied et le centre de Saint-Rémy à 400 m. Jordan accueille avec énormément de gentillesse et de sympathie.Toujours très attentif aux demandes ses réponses sont immédiates et tout est fait pour que le séjour soit parfait ! Merci Jordan pour cette très belle semaine et évidemment nous reviendrons !

Oasis of calm and luxury in St Remy

The description and photos do not fully do justice to this beautiful property. Outstandingly well equipped, decorated and cleaned. Mas Chantemerle could not be better located, just an easy stroll into St Remy with restaurants, shops and supermarket even closer. Jordan is a lovely man and a wonderful host and is very accessible if needed. We thoroughly enjoyed our two week stay, would highly recommend to all and hope to visit again. Michael K.

Everything about this villa was first class. Jordan had thought of everything. Very easy to walk into St Rémy and close proximity to supermarket. Jordan was on hand to sort out any requests but respected our privacy. This is the best villa we have ever rented in the past 30 years. Can’t wait to return!

Perfect Place for a Vacation

This property is very comfortable, convenient and has a luxurious feel. The property and grounds are well maintained. Our family of 5 thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Our three boys loved the pool and pool house. There was plenty of space for the boys to run around and play on the grounds. The property is gated and safe so we felt very comfortable leaving the boys at home alone while my husband and I explored or just ran some errands. The location is excellent for exploring Provence. St. Remy has a lot of shops and restaurants for tourists, but still has a very local feel to it. Being able to walk to the grocery store and town was extremely convenient as parking in St. Remy could be problematic at times. Jordan is a gracious host. He is very nice and helpful. We would stay at his place again, and would highly recommend it to others.
