We were in Cape Breton for the Celtic Colours festival. The Bras d'Or Lakes Inn was a lovely place to stay. Wendy (front desk) was warm and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, and the property is pet-friendly. There is a really nice canal walk minutes from the hotel. Highly recommended!

Staff were incredibly welcoming and accommodating. We stayed with our new puppy and they were excellent, evening bringing us little treats when they brought our food to our room! We highly recommend.

Very quiet there. Free laundry was very helpful. The staff went out of their way to help out. We had hoped the dining room would be open. The heater in our room needs maintenance. It was very noisy. But all in all a very good place. We’d definitely recommend Bras D’Or Laje Inn.

The staff at the Inn were wonderful. Very helpful, and nice. The two meals we had there were great. I had an issue with the shower (cold water would not shut off completely), but they fixed that quickly. I found the bed to be too soft, as well. However, those were the only downsides to an otherwise truly nice stay. Wouldn't especially call out Ella for commendation. She is once of those people that are genuinely service oriented, and very interesting for a conversation. Again, really enjoyed my stay, and would give five stars except for the soft bed.

Our stay exceeded our expectations. Wendy the hotel manager is phenomenal. She went out of her way to make sure our stay was fabulous. As an added bonus the food and service at the restaurant was excellent. Definitely would stay here again and highly recommend to others they also stay and eat here.
