About this property
Studio, sleeps 4, patio, short drive to Ski Resort, Six Flags & concert venues
You’ll enjoy our patio and lush green yard after perhaps a hike at one of our local parks. If you’re in our area for a concert or a production, you won’t have a long drive. Same is true if you’re planning a ski trip to Hidden Valley. We're a short drive to Six Flags Theme Park. Or you may be in town to visit Grants Farm, the Zoo or the Arch. The kitchenette area includes a frig, microwave/convection oven, toaster oven, coffee maker, induction burner & select cookware for that specific burner. There is also a crock pot & electric skillet. This studio is the lower level of a home in a super safe neighborhood. It includes a large laundry room, too. Another short-term rental is on the main floor, of this same home. The areas are separated by locking doors (on both sides). The yard has lots of shade & is quite peaceful. We hope you enjoy your stay. Reach out, anytime, with any questions. We live ten minutes away. Happy traveling!

I had a wonderful experience staying at this location. The bed was super comfy, the shower was super hot and that's always to top needs I have for any stay. I will for sure book this rental again!
We enjoyed it! Debbie was amazing, brought firewood for us to enjoy a fire. Communication was great! The place was perfect for our family. Thank you for everything Debbie!
The property was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and fully stocked with all the essentials we needed for our stay. The host was pleasant and easy to communicate with, making check-in and any questions throughout the stay smooth and stress-free. The only downside was being in the basement I could hear every step or movement from the guests upstairs which made it difficult to get a good nights sleep.
Really convenient spot for my family, who stayed at this property for a week. Owner was very responsive to everything and made our experience very pleasant. Very pet friendly. Everything was great...only (minor) downside was that the WiFi reception was very spotty. Combined with poor cell reception in the general area, I had to go outside at times to get data. Would definitely stay here again next time we're in town.
We did enjoy our stay. Apartment was clean. It was a cute place to stay and definitely worth the price. The issues I had were not major but I do feel they need to be mentioned just so the owner can be aware. The only issues were the bathroom sink doesn't drain quickly, and it was a little chilly but the heaters did their job..
My brother in law and I stayed here 3 nights for a managed deer hunt at Babler state park. We were gone all day and really only slept in the residence. It suited our needs just fine and was much cheaper than a hotel.
No one was upstairs during our stay, so we had no noise above us. The internet was out at first but was fixed very promptly and worked well the remainder of our stay. The neighborhood was very quiet and close to several restaurants and shopping areas. Having a washing machine and dryer was nice to wash hunting clothes.
Overall our stay was good.
It was a great place! The backyard was very cute and my boys enjoyed running around and playing while we were there. We were so close to using the firepit, but alas, we did not have time. It was awesome of Debbie to get that set up for us before we arrived! Overall, it was a cute little vibe for the space. The upstairs neighbor was relatively quiet, so that was a plus as well! The only thing that went weong was the fault of Google Maps bronging me to the wrong location, but it was literally just the house next door.
I had a great stay! It was clean and comfortable. The only issue I experienced was with a brand new lock that was installed just before I arrived, but Debbie came and took care of it the next day. I would recommend if you’re planning to stay here to bring a power strip if you’ve got much to plug in as there’s not too many outlets.
Cute place, well-equipped for a week-long stay. We were able to cook meals, took advantage of the fire pit, and the back yard was great for the dog! Only minor issue is the sound from the upstairs tenants is slightly louder than regular shared space/apartment noise.
Great location for visiting St. Louis - close to attractions but not in the middle is the traffic. Very clean unit, plenty of room for everyone. While we didn’t cook, everything needed was available had we decided to. No issues with upstairs guests, Debbie communicated throughout the booking and visit to take care of any questions we had. Thanks so much, fun weekend for our Grandson!! I’m sure we will be back!
It was not clean for our arrival. No sheets on main bed just a balled up comforter. There was an odor as soon as you step in. Shower had other people’s hair & a used bar of soap. The 2 “bedrooms” were creepy like closets. The cellular service was spotty which made us feel unsafe in a scary looking place. We left after seeing the place & booked a hotel instead of staying.
False advertisement, fees NOT included, smells like smoke
1. When viewing it said fees were included in the price. They definitely are NOT included. This was the response “ The service fee is a VRBO fee. Of course there’s a cleaning fee. We have to pay our cleaning people.” This should not be advertised. 2. They indeed did not use cleaning people as there was a bar of soap, a rag in the shower caddy, and loofah left in the shower. In the back bedroom there were small beads/pearls along with safety pins on the ground/in the trash bag. 3. As soon as we walked in it smelt like smoke.4. When we were unpacking almost 2 hours after check-in, a man came to stop by and say he was fixing the toilet seat since there was a crack in it and was leaving extra paper towels and toilet paper (this should have been done prior to us arriving.)5. The pictures do NOT describe the rooms at all! There are 3 different beds: 1 in the living area, one in a smaller room like a closet, and the third was in the back on concrete floor with a lock on the OUTSIDE of the door. Absolutely no reason to have a lock there!!6. There were closet doors that had nails bent over them to not access that had a green light flashing.7. The keypad/lock that we were supposed to use only worked the first time and the part to lock the deadbolt would not lock as we left each time and had to use a key for just the smaller door handle lock. 8. There was no parking on the driveway as the upstairs unit parked there and we had to park on the street.
The neighborhood was as expected, but the unit was dirty and poorly maintained. The toothbrush holder in the bath had toothpaste all over it, the mat in the shower appeared old or mildewy (bring shower shoes), there were even leftover razors in the shower! The countertop next to the fridge had dried milk on it, the microwave has food spatters in it, & the doors to the microwave & fridge were covered in fingerprints and smears. There were thick cobwebs on the wall and pics near the front door & I don't think the floor had been cleaned in ages
The listing falsely claimed a short-term rental was on the main floor, but it's the owner's daughters residence with young children and pets. This complete lack of disclosure ruined my stay as I was woken up multiple times at night and the noise made working during the day impossible. When I emailed the owner thru VRBO (no other contact option is provided) I was gaslit and told verbatim "The listing does mention it is like “an apartment” with guests above you." The listing at the time of this posting does not say that, it didn't mention full time residents with kids, and even if it did I would still expect quiet, especially at night.
The owner also accessed the unit without notice, which is completely unacceptable. Thankfully I was gone by that time, as I ended up leaving a couple of days early. Just beware should you decide to rent this place.
Overall this was quite literally the worst VRBO experience I have ever had.
