It was fine,but - I was in the area early, and they would not let me leave a ( very small) case there until I could check in.It actually states in the info in the room that they will store luggage before check in,or after check out.So I’m not sure why I couldn’t leave something,..they said there was “no room” - that’s clearly not true.And if it is true,then perhaps don’t tell people you can! To be honest,I usually stay in other hotels in the area,and will probably stick to them in future. The breakfast was nice though..

The breakfast offers were quite limited, and when I asked to swap one of the items on a already small breakfast, this was not possible, so I could not swap mushrooms for another hash brown or something like that which I thought was quite liberating as satisfaction in a rundown area is probably going to be there Best asset however something quite small like swapping an item seem to be quite a problem. Other than that the property was generally good, but I did find the rooms especially the bathroom a little bit dirty, not as clean as I would expect but the bedroom itself was good.

Very helpful & friendly staff. Good full English breakfast. Warm room (use of a fan if required) with all tea & coffee making facilities, working TV, comfortable bed & clean linen. Had a single room with no en-suite facility, however, had use of bathroom, only a few seconds walk from room which was not available to any other guests & was given my own key, bathrobe provided, good pressure, hot shower. Also a lovely sea view.

Very nice room with beautiful sea view just lacked storage as no wardrobe or cupboard, very bright in the morning but luckily we took eye masks, they provide ear plugs as a little noisy, Could do with being a little cleaner and looks a little tired as does the area, lots of closed down places. We stayed during may half term but was surprised how quiet everything was after 5.30pm. Parking was only an issue once but managed mostly to park in warrior square in a free space.

Lovely sea view, but......
After we had booked, we were told we had to get there by 5pm or we wouldnt be able to get in. We had made plans to visit a couple of places on the way, so had to cancel that....instezd of it being a nice ride there, we were rushing to make sure we had a key to get in. Then we were told on arrival there was only 2 options for breakfast as they were fully booked. 8.00 or 8.15.....a couple of towels had brown stains on them. The quilt looked like it wasnt clean. The view to sea was lovely! It was very noisy all night with traffic....they had left earbuds as a welcome to yr room.

Not so good. Room stiflingly hot due to large hot water pipe running through the room. No secondary glazing thus loud traffic kept us awake all night. Made us take breakfast at 8.00 am for some reason. Breakfast very poor quality, there was a charge for a second cup of coffee. The staff member was very rude an unsmiling.

Lovely location
We booked the hotel for a one night break away to relax before our wedding, we had room 6. The room was beautiful lovely decor and the view was gorgeous especially in the morning, staff were friendly and breakfast was very nice.

Be aware that breakfast is by reservation only on a first come first served basis. Property is also quite cold. Our bed was terrible it had a huge dip in it, definitely needed replacing. Property could be really lovely but does need some attention.

There is no parking for the hotel. There are some restricted bays for overnight directly outside and a little walk away some free spaces. You can only check in from 2-5.30pm and there is no one on site after that. It would have been helpful to know this before booking. The hotel has an interesting history as a bank and the bathroom was originally a walk in safe. The decor is basic, but clean. The breakfast was unpleasant - dried out and reheated food. Nothing was particularly fresh - all stale. This isn’t a typical B&B or hotel and it was a really odd experience.

Friendly staff and room 11 with sea view is very nice but could be noisy since the windows are not gapless that’s why they provided earplugs. The heating is not on during the night so the room is quite cold especially next to the sea.
