  • Kingfisher house is a beautiful lakeside House on Retallack Resort, that offers accessible holidays with ground floor bedrooms and wet room. Within close proximity to Padstow and Newquay. This large four bedroom house with Cornish stone exterior offers a luxury stay. The lakeside terrace includes a BBQ, patio furniture and a private hot tub so you can relax while watching the ducks glide past.
    The resort is packed of facilities included in your stay from indoor swimming pool, gym and health club, tennis court and children's playgrounds to lakeside walks. Book into the beauty spa or into one of the many watersports.
    The kitchen is well equipped with all you could need for dinner parties, BBQs and family meals with full size fridge freezer, oven, hob, microwave and dishwasher.

Nice resort - but AVOID Queenswood Holidays

We arrived after more than a ten hour journey to find the property had not been prepared or cleaned, we immediately contacted the owner who apologised and asked us to go to the bar to have a drink promising to pick up the tab. After an hour and half we were informed the property had been prepared, returning to the property we found it had been cleaned but to a poor standard. The property is described as being luxury, I would describe it as being tired and in need of some tender loving care. However, the most disappointing thing has been the total silence from Amy Tucker the owner, despite numerous emails and text messages she hasn't had the courtesy of replying - a total lack of customer service - spend your money somewhere else and AVOID QUEENSWOOD HOLIDAYS..

This is a lovely lodge .The only thing letting it down was the cleanliness the tiles were falling off the wall behind the Downstairs bathroom .The tiles in all the bathrooms needs to be bleach the grouting there was black mould on them .the beds were very comfortable lovely hot tub we did have a great holiday

Great week

Great location and a super house. Lovely views of the water from the 2 decks, the hot tub was well used, we often relaxed on the lower deck while watching the paddle boarders and the ducks go by. The resort was excellent - the water sports were great fun, it has a very useful shop and a nice bar/restaurant.
