Wonderfully Charming Oceanfront 1 Bedroom Condo!

  • This charming condo boasts oceanfront views, easy walking access to the beach via a private dune walkover, swimming pool, and is close to so much more. It is a short 10 minute drive to the Old City. Forty five minutes puts you into Jacksonville to the North and Daytona Beach to the South. It's just 2 hours to Orlando, and an hour to Gainesville as well!
    This is a "King" Beachers Lodge 50% larger than most Beachers lodge condos.
    The condo itself is wonderfully decorated with coastal charm, and stocked with everything you need for your stay. The kitchen is stocked for your small meals, the bedroom has all new linens and pillows, and cable tv and wifi are included as well.
    There are shared grilling areas, room to bring your small trailer (bike week please!), and dog walking areas on the property. There are also several excellent dining choices within five minutes of the condo, and some outstanding shopping options within the same area.
    Dogs up to 40lbs ok with approval, and additional cleaning fee.

Beach stay

To pay a mandatory cleaning fee and to walk into a dirty floor with someone else’s hair was somewhat disconcerting. We were asked to do all of the dishes and take out the trash before leaving, which I would do anyway, but these rules with fees charged anyway seem to be getting a little out of hand. Beautiful view of the ocean..too bad it was raining our entire stay :(

We could sit on the balcony and watch the sunrise. We were there during some of the hottest days, so it was hard for the air to stay caught up. Thank goodness for fans! Our stay was excellent and we plan to bring our family back next year to Crescent Beach.

Great location

The rental location was great for us. It appeared clean. The host was poor to respond to any questions prior to our arrival. We did not receive check in info and had to call the host. The office to receive the keys is not onisght but not far from rental. The air conditioner unit that provides air to the living room, outside portion is on the balcony and is loud. But, the unit did provide adequate coolness to the room. The view is great. Just FYI, this rental is not friendly for anyone with poor mobility or for the use of a wagon to take stuff to the beach due to stairs. Overall, we enjoyed our stay due to location and the view.

Crescent Beach Happy

The Condo is what it needs to be: 1-on beach, 2-great view, 3-clean & critter-free. Nice decor. Stove, oven & microwave all work great. The balcony furniture is great. No dishwasher but limited dish detergent not happy about that. If you want renters to wash dishes you should provide detergent! Floors could use a good deep steam cleaning. But they seem clean. Bed is comfortable. Air conditioning is fine. The tv is connected into the outlet that is on same circuit as overhead light, had to use extension cord to plug it into other outlet and turned off the overhead light for night tv viewing. Overall great experience.

Clean property. Nice view. However minor issues were a bother. Small wall unit air conditioner not working in the bedroom. Tv in bedroom tied to overhead light, which you could not turn off without a remote control. Could not find a remote control To use for the light, which also had a fan which would have helped with no air in the bedroom and could only watch tv in bed if the overhead light was on. Called the rental office number. Said they would have someone out to check the air unit. Never came or called back. Worked out okay since it was cool the days we were there, but if it gets hot will not be good for renters.

Beachers lodge

The location was great, but bedroom air conditioning did not work. We contacted Mr. Kelly and he said he would send someone to fix. He originally got back with us, but never sent anyone. I sent him another message but he never got back with me. Also the sheets on bed were old and very rough. And did not smell clean as well as mix match pillows. We kept top sheet on bottom sheet for more comfort. It would have been a better stay had the manager sent someone to fix it or at least followed up. My husband was very hot while sleeping which was annoying. The plumbing in bathroom drain was very slow to drain. These things should be addressed before other people use the condo

Nice but needs work

Location was perfect, close to everything, and the view AMAZING. The condo is very roomy, that bed is absolutely terrible, and the couch is worse. We bought an eggshell to hopefully help the bed, it did not. We couldn't sit on the couch without sitting on the pillows to halfway make it comfortable. Check the dishes before using them. We had to wash everything before we could use it. The refrigerator does not get very cold, we even adjusted the temp and it didnt help. We had some food spoil due to the frig. Definitely bring more wash cloths with you. There are plenty of towels, but we were only given 4 wash cloths for a week stay. The complex was very clean, our only wish was that the pool stay open later, and there had been better access to the beach. There is no way to take a wagon with your beach item down. And there is no way for a handicapped person to access the beach without dealing with a lot of stairs. The owner did not answer any of my emails asking questions before our stay. So don't bother trying to get info from him. We would stay at this complex again, just not this condo unless bed and couch changed.

Pros: -The view is exactly as shown in the photos - super close to the beach and shaded balcony all day after about 10:00am. We used the motorized storm shade to block the morning sun from our faces as we sat on the balcony for morning coffee. -It is an updated unit and the clean, simple decor is charming.-Previous reviews mention the bed - they have added a mattress pad and we thought it was comfortable (although the pad seems to have a plastic top which made me a little warm at night).The kitchen has everything needed for cooking (except a large pot - several small ones).The overall complex was clean and tidy and all the staff we ran into were great. -I worked remotely from the unit and the wifi was super fast and reliable. Cons:-The shower door is stuck and would not close.-The television in the living room would not show any cable channels. -The unit was clean-ish. Housekeeping could be improved.

Everything was Great! It was in a really good location, the place was immaculate. We were really comfortable and the ocean front balcony was perfect. Our host was accommodating, which was great becauae our flight was delayed over two hours and when I called, they said no problem and made arrangements for us to get the keys and information we needed.It was a pleasant experience, and they made our trip stress free.
