This is a wonderful property! Views are just spectacular! House has a wonderful set up for multi families..quick ride to downtown St Augustine! Would definitely stay here again!
“Staying at the vacation house was a truly special and emotional experience for me, especially as my son visited from the navy. It was a relaxing and peaceful time, free from any worries or distractions. I was able to unwind and enjoy quality time with my son in a serene environment. Highly recommend for those looking for a and rejuvenating getaway.”
The house is amazing. Kitchen is so nice. We had 6 adults and 6 kids under 12. Plenty of space and everyone had an amazing time. The heated pool helped the kiddos burn energy but their favorite was probably the swing in the backyard. We would definitely come back!
Our group of ladies gathered for a retreat from busy lives and to celebrate a special birthday. We couldn’t have chosen a better spot! The house is in a beautiful setting in the river, clean as can be, great layout for gatherings. It was only a short drive to historic St. Augustine too. We only wished we could have planned for more time there.
Our host was wonderful and responded immediately to every inquiry. We thoroughly enjoyed. Thank you for a great weekend!
A group of friends and I spent almost 2 weeks in this beautiful home in May 2024. We had an unexpected problem with our original rental and were so thankful that these hosts were able to accommodate our large group on very short notice. The hosts were incredibly responsive and helpful and went above and beyond to make our vacation as good as it could be!
The house was very spacious and comfortable. There was a large common area where we all could gather and lots of private space for alone time. The kitchen was chef’s quality and well stocked.
The beds were very comfortable and we all went home well rested. There was also a great laundry room which had everything we needed.
The outdoor space was beautiful, with a great saltwater pool and a screened eating area. The house is situated on a beautiful river with lots of boating activity to keep us entertained. All of the conveniences are located close by and downtown St. Augustine is approximately 10 minutes away.
We are so thankful to Melissa and Jason for everything they did to make us feel so welcome. I highly recommend this property.
OysterCut was great from the moment we walked in! Our family ranged from age 8 - age 71 and there were spaces and opportunities for everyone. We had plenty of beds/bedrooms and bathrooms for each family, along with communal spaces that allowed us all to gather. The living room allowed for movie and soccer watching, the big tables (both inside and out) were great for meals and game-playing. The ping pong table was used regularly throughout the week. We enjoyed music, relaxing, swimming, and grilling in the backyard. We enjoyed time on the kayaks (be mindful of the tides as noted on the welcome table!), and time out on the dock. Missy was very responsive to all of our questions. There were books for all ages and some toys as well. We're a family that loves to cook and there were a few kitchen items we assumed would be there that weren't. We were able to improvise fine and provide a list of helpful items that will hopefully be there for guests moving forward. This is a beautiful area of Florida and those of us from in-state and out-of-state all enjoyed this wonderful property. Highly recommend!!
The property was beautiful and lived up to the online description. The host was very responsive and provided everything we needed. This was the perfect spot to house family and friends for my son's wedding that was happening in St. Augustine. We highly recommend this property.
Would definitely stay here again! There were thirteen of us (6 parents and 7 teen/young adults) and we found there to be plenty of space. Plenty of options for sleeping, adequate bathrooms/showers and a large kitchen great for cooking for a large group. It was a bonus having the large fridge and oversized oven/stovetop. Plenty of seating indoors and outdoors for meals. The hosts were more than accommodating and responded immediately to any our questions. We spent lots of time at the pool and hot tub and the boys enjoyed fishing. St. Augustine was only about 20 minutes away. Overall it was a perfect spot for all of us (ages 16-83) to enjoy some time with family. A little something there for everyone.
Lovely property and stunning setting. 25ish minute drive to St. Augustine. We utilized both the pool and hot tub. We had to request that hot tub be warmed each evening. Small inconvenience: there was no soap in the showers, no Kleenex nor enough toilet paper. These small details we’re communicated to the owner at checkout who clarified that had she been notified, she would have brought them to us.
We would rent again. I will share what’s to love, and things to consider. What’s to love: we had a family reunion with 3 families in from out of town. 5 grandchildren and a friend, and 5 adults. The house was big enough that we all had enough space. The pool was a hit. Fishing off the dock was a new found love for the grandchildren. Two of the grandchildren who live in the area spent the night twice… meaning 9 young people and 5 adults. We were not overcrowded. We cooked mostly at home. The owner was very accommodating and responsive. For us the location was perfect with family in Nocatee and Jax Beach. Something important, the back patio facing east for beautiful sunrises. Which means that the back of the house where the pool is doesn’t get blasted all day with the sun. The porch area had plenty of shade all day and the evenings you can feel the ocean breezes. Watching the tide come in and out was also very meditative. Things to consider: we had everyone bring an extra bath towel because there wasn’t enough. All my granddaughters have long hair and use two towels each time they shower. The hot tub: this only works if the filtering system is turned off. The only one who can do that is the owner. WiFi: there is a small note that says the WiFi is on island time, which is fine if you know that in advance. The internet went down each evening when we wanted to do movie time. We adjusted. It still perfect for ua.
