Constructed in 1880, this Victorian carriage house has been fully restored to offer modern comforts in the Historic District! Stroll the cobblestone streets in your neighborhood to find museums, striking architecture, and historic sites. After your adventures, dine at Lobstah on a Roll, a Boston-based restaurant attached to your carriage house.

Inside, vaulted ceilings with exposed beams, a well-appointed kitchen, and antique accents provide comfort and allure.

THE LOCATION

Nestled in the heart of the Historic District, there’s no better location from which to explore the sights and sounds of downtown St. Augustine.

On the ground floor of the attached building, you’ll find Bantam Chef, a locally beloved restaurant serving Florida favorites. Walk across the street to the Lightner Museum to discover Victorian-era artifacts. Stroll 1 block further to Flagler College and admire Spanish Renaissance architecture and pristine landscaping.

Stroll 15 minutes along the Matanzas River to Castillo de San Marcos, a historic fortress dating back to the 17th century.

When you’re ready for some time by the surf, travel 2 miles to Anastasia State Park or 5 miles to Vilano Beach.

A charming stay , across from the Lightner museum where where I attended a wedding . The place was adorable and very clean . I felt very safe and the A/C worked fabulous !!!!!! An incredible stay !!

A few days in St. Augustine

Great little Apartment in a great location. Newly renovated and done well. Very close to St. George street and across the street from Lightner museum.

The microwave takes up the dining table so it is unusable. We anticipated utilizing the table. The air/heat units have to match the outside setting or it creates an error so it was a little stuffy. The bed was small. The room was clean, the restaurant decent, and proximity was good. Communication was good. Check in was delayed but was not an issue for us.

The Purple House is conveniently located near all the things we like to do in St Augustine. It is well designed and decorated. I was a bit concerned for the proximity to the restaurant in front but we never heard a peep from them and slept well.

Lovely place with the best Seafood in Restaurant in town right down stairs! Clean and quiet for those in need of some rest!! My host made sure everything was just right! Two thumbs up!

Excellent experience

We had a wonderful stay. The accommodations were quaint and more than we expected. Couldn’t have asked for a more pleasant experience, we had everything we needed. My only suggestion would be more towels/wash clothes. Having coffee and hot chocolate available was an added bonus with the cold weather. Within walking distance to everything we wanted to do in town.
