What an amazing stay! A clean, beautiful home that offered everything we could have needed and more. The only thing I would say is that they need to replace pillows. Beds were comfortable. The hosts were available for all questions and checked in on us to make sure everything was ok. Would totally recommend the house for your next stay in the St. Augustine area!
While we didn’t use a lot of the amenities, the house was well appointed, the hosts were incredibly generous and responsive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will almost certainly book it again.
Our stay was great. The place is clean, spacious and had all the amenities. Most importantly, the beds were comfortable. I appreciated the clear communication with our host. My spouse and I took our moms on a quick weekend vacation to see the nights of lights and the location was great. Close enough to the Nights of Lights but also far enough from the crowd that we were able to enjoy peace and relaxation.
Lost of room and everything seems to be very new. Close to Butler Beach (Pet Friendly) and not overly crowded. We enjoyed the soft bed and the hot tub in the afternoon. Actually saw a small group of deer in the empty lot next door. House is at the end of the road and is in a quiet, tranquil neighborhood. Would stay there again.
We had a great stay at this cottage in St. Augustine. Everything was new and spotless! It was near the beach and a short drive from the historic area. We had everything we needed. Definitely recommend!
Beautiful home in great location. The house is spacious and immaculate. Short distance from beaches and an easy drive to beautiful St Augustine. Communication with owner was quick and easy. We will try to stay here next trip this way.
We had a great visit in this lovely little cottage tucked in to a lush St. Augustine neighboorhood!! It was quiet and peaceful. We had everything we needed and the bedrooms were cool and comfortable! We especially loved the large shower in the master!
Next time we visit, we will definitely try to book Hydrangea Cottage again!

Our trip
This is our first time to St. AUGUSTINE. and wee loved it
The house was super nice very clean, and well stocked. David and Robin were outstanding, we wonted to stay one extra day and they did have a problem with it. We will most definitely be staying here again.
The Hydrangea Cottage was just perfect! It looked exactly like the pictures, new and clean. Communication was open, easy and accommodating. I would highly recommend this rental house and our family will likely be back again! Thank you for a beautiful, comfy stay!
We just wanted a place to get away for a long weekend. Overall, this place fit the bill. The home was clean with modern appliances. It was in a quiet neighborhood that had a mix of updated homes and some that were a little run-down. There was a little bit of highway traffic noise, but I don't think there is any place in the area where you will be able to avoid that. The home is within a 15-20 minute drive of the historic area and beaches with plenty of restaurants and activities within a short drive.
Perfect cottage about 1 mile from the beach on a quite wooded street. House was very clean and had everything we needed for our family of five. Host even went out of their way to make sure when we arrived to provide us two beach chairs and umbrella for our stay. Hot tub was great after a nice dinner for our family to hang out in. Will definitely book this place again when we are in St. Augustine.
We throughly enjoyed our stay at Hydrangea Cottage! The neighborhood is super safe, quiet and was very walkable for our fur baby, just watch out for a few stray cats that hang around the property. Close to downtown St. Augustine, beaches and the Amphitheater. iTrip was excellent with communication and always available if we needed anything. The cottage was impeccably clean and beds comfortable. Only thing we noticed was that the water pressure in the showers was lacking a bit, but was not a deal breaker and we would definitely stay here again. Hydrangea Cottage is on our list for any return visits to the St. Augustine area!
This house is in such a beautiful location. It was at the end of a very private street and it felt farther away from town than it was. Perfect for families with children and or dogs. The interior is beautiful and still has the new home smell. We had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The beach was so close it made quick trips easy. We loved the front porch in the morning for bird watching and coffee drinking. Hot tub was nice too. I would stay there again and highly recommend this home.

Beautiful location, lovely cottage, big trees, our last morning we saw a deer and her two babies, loads of squirrels and birds. You won't be disappointed. We didn't use the hot-tub or bikes as our visit was personal. The house still smells new, master bed and sheets were basic, basic and may
need a fresh set of linens. Otherwise totally recommend.

Hydrangea Cottage
Me and my crew spent 2 days in St. Augustine and throughly enjoyed the cleanliness, space, and accommodations made by host. We had originally we had reserved a different property but the host asked us to consider another property because of hurricane Helene. Loved the open spaces in the home. Hot tub was perfect. Kitchen was beautiful. We could have used more paper towels but that was the last thing on our minds.
Thank you for a wonderful experience and for being so kind. 👍👍👍👍👍
The stay was great and the hosts were very attentive and able to answer any questions we had. We loved the location of the place as it's at the end of a little side street surround by woods on two sides, you would never know you were right off of the busy A1A. The house is also no more than 15 minutes from anything in St. Augustine.
The hot tub was super relaxing. The only thing that I wish could be changed just for privacy was the camera pointed at the hot tub but I understand why it's there and I'm sure it is handy to monitor the property when there are no guests there.
All in all it was a great place to stay for our family vacation to St. Augustine.

Cute Cottage
Overall we enjoyed our stay! The interior was very nice and clean. Just like the pictures! Unfortunately, the exterior was a disappointment. The hot tub area and backyard were bug infested and dirty. I could not even sit on one of the chairs like I wish that I could have due to the dirt and bugs. The street the house is on is secluded and has what appears to be some abandoned houses, but the neighbors were very friendly. The host was very welcoming and although we did not need anything while we were there, we received a few texts throughout our stay. The downtown area of St Augustine is a short 15 minute drive away and the beach is less than 5 minutes. Again, the best part about this house was the interior, but I wish the exterior matched in cleanliness!
We had a great stay. The house was just as pictured. The air conditioning worked great which is requirement for our family, especially in the hot and humid St. Augustine summer. The only issue we had was the bottom bed in the bunk bed room was a little short for an adult. It wasn't a huge issue and wouldn't prevent us from staying here again.
The master bedroom bath was a great size for two of us to be able to spread out and settle in.
Communications throughout the process was great, in fact they checked on us a couple of times to be sure we didn't need anything and that everything was as expected.
Thanks for a great couple of days away from the world! We would certainly consider this property on our next trip to St. Augustine.

Enjoyed it
The house was very nice and comfortable. It is located in a quiet neighborhood. It was clean and spacious. We used the jacuzzi and that was very enjoyable under the trees in the morning. I rated it as a 4 because the dishwasher wasn't washing very well and was missing wheels which made it difficult to pull and push the bottom tray. There were tiny bugs on the counter that we tried to eliminate with vinegar, but it didn't really work. The very first night the queen bedroom door handle broke because it was loose, then we couldn't close the door from the outside. The bathtub wasn't draining well and the fridge filter needed to be replaced. The communication with iTrip was good, they're very responsive and nice. There was just a miscommunication regarding my dog. The house says pet friendly, but a fee was added once we arrived, and I thought I mentioned I had a dog. But no big deal! We will rent again from this company but maybe not this house :-). We had a great time. Thank you.
First, I hate these types of stays. Places NEVER looks like pics, they are dirty and disgusting, and the numbers of rules and regs make you feel like you have to work off your stay—especially with checkout. I go with hotels 99.9% of the time.
If you are like me, book this place TODAY! Somehow the pics aren’t as good as the actual place. It’s new and still has that “new smell”. Everything was great. A few highlights:
-having a hot tub was great! Do note is really the size for 2 people stretched out and isn’t what I would call a lux hot tub but it worked, heated up, and with the exception of a neighbor in the back yard (hidden by a privacy fence) it was incredibly private.
-you are in Florida so the question—how well does the HVAC work? Flawlessly! Plus the host doesn’t lock you out of the thermostat like so many other awful hosts do.
-the shower in the master is amazing
-internet speed text was about 600mb at 7p on a Friday night. I brought my own Apple TV and it worked GREAT without a single issue.
-Roku TVs in the master bedroom & living room
-great location
-quiet private street
-nicely outfitted kitchen with what you need.
-host is shockingly responsive to any text I sent
Ironically my ONLY complaint was no filters for the coffee maker but I purchased some and left them behind so hopefully they are left for others.
I will gladly rent from iTrip again. Maybe I can trust that some places on VRBO and other sites really are an enjoyable experience. Wow!

Leading with Kindness & Cleanliness
If you’re looking for something super clean, on a cute little street, has comfortable couches, is close to everything, and that feels like home, you’ve got it with Hydrangea Cottage.
We loved:
- Hot Tub (super clean and brand new)
- Couches (they feel like something you’d have in your own home - comfy)
- Master Bathroom (The walk in rain shower is like a spa day)
- Kitchen (it’s stocked with literally everything you would ever need, and it’s all clean)
- Personalization (they had a handwritten note at the table - so cute!!)
- Location (it’s on this safe little no outlet street and feels like you’re in a little jungle. We saw deer on the property each night. But then you are in the middle of civilization within 30 seconds!)
- Cleanliness (every single thing was perfectly clean. There was no major fragrance smell either - which is refreshing!)
- Beach towels and Bikes were provided!
- Responsiveness (I had a quick question and texted the number provided and got a response quickly)
***Note about beds: I absolutely loved the firm foam master bed mattress, my husband felt like it was too firm. The pillows are the king size pillows and slightly firm but fluffy - perfect for me, yet my husband wasn’t a fan because he felt like he had to roll them up to get comfortable. He absolutely loved his stay though and we both agreed we loved the place more than any other rental we’ve stayed at. So, beds wouldn’t deter us :)
Things that need fixing:
- TV providers (we couldn’t get any of the tv providers working - Hulu, Netflix, etc. But with that being said, we weren’t here to watch tv, so it wasn’t a big deal to us)
- Microwave (maybe it was us, but we couldn’t get the microwave to work - my husband wanted to heat up a cup of coffee and couldn’t)
Definitely stay here. 5 stars across the board!!!
