We loved staying at this home & property. The sunrise each morning was absolutely stunning. The option of the screened in porch, open porch, yard & fire pit was so nice to really enjoy the view & outdoors when we weren’t in the historic district. The location was also super convenient to everywhere you’d want to visit in St Augustine.
We stayed at the house during our visit to St. Augustine for our mom's 75th birthday. We loved being able to have big family meals together before/after our outings. It was such a special weekend together with our family at the house
What a great house! My friends and I have done a girls weekend for the past 6 years and BY FAR this house was the best. The space was perfect, the location was perfect, the house was stocked so well and we were so impressed with everything!
Wonderful House and Ideal Location for Large Families
We made a last-minute trip to St. Augustine before the kids returned to school, and this house and location were perfect. There was plenty of space for all six of us to spread out comfortably. The dining room and porches were our favorite spots. The historic district, where we spent most of our time, was just a short drive away. We would definitely stay here again!
We looked for a home that would create the ambiance of adventure for our grandkids and it did not disappoint. The location was on a tidal area that was absolutely beautiful at sunrise. The wildlife was spectacular to watch throughout the day. The property was well supplied and the extra details were very much appreciated.
Loved being right on the marsh, the house had an “old Florida” feel, which was charming. We were in town for a wedding so we didn’t spend much time at the house during the day, but the grandchildren had fun exploring in the yard.
The kitchen was good, we did prepare evening meals, the kitchen could have more silverware, and other cook ware staples.
Over all it was a very good experience, we are looking to book again!!!
Location was amazing. So peaceful and private. Really enjoyed coffee on the porch for sunrise and evening chats looking at marsh and wildlife. The house had many uniquely inconvenient quirks. I suppose none of them ruined our stay but might need some attention. Was looking forward to a soaking in bathtub however disappointed that it cannot hold water and is for decoration only plus other small disappointments. However, Management was wonderfully responsive to all major concerns and overall we enjoyed our stay..
Best part was the view, being away from busy historic district. House felt large, with a lot of fun accents. The separate cottage provides privacy for one couple. Usually when we use vacation rentals, we’re driving from home. This time, we flew in and really noticed the lack of basic staples. There’s salt, pepper and a few spices. No aluminum foil or plastic wrap, olive oil, vinegar, etc. So expect to bring or buy pretty much everything if you plan to cook and dine in.
My husband and I had a great experience staying at this property. The marsh view is what sold us on this location versus other rentals. We saw owls, herons, egrets, osprey, and so much more every day we were there. The location is convenient to the historic district and easier to bike there than drive due to traffic and lack of parking. We rented bikes from Anastasia Bicycle Rental and Tom was great - he delivered the bikes to us the same day we called and provided baskets, locks, night lights, etc. Highly recommend using his services. We enjoyed a fantastic meal at Columbia Restaurant - the service, food, and overall experience were a pleasant surprise. We cooked the rest of our dinners at the rental and the kitchen has all the basic essentials. The rental was clean and comfortable and we enjoyed having coffee and breakfast every morning on the porch overlooking the marsh and tidal creek. This is a hidden gem. Don't sleep on it!
The house was very well appointed, and we had a wonderful stay. The host had many special touches that made our stay unforgettable. Will be back again!
Close enough to all the downtown activities but like another world away. Such a beautiful setting - porches offered great opportunities for sunrise & bird watching. Clean, quiet, comfortable, well-equipped kitchen and loads of gathering space.
We loved sitting on the wraparound porch and watching the tide go in and out as well as the birds flying around the marsh. Many spaces for everyone to spread out and hang out together. Can’t wait to go back!!
This is a nice property tucked away, but conveniently close. Watching the tide rise and fall from the screened in porch was such a pleasure. They were plenty of amenities, such as towels and blankets and kitchen items. Much more than we had the opportunity to use. I would recommend this to anyone who likes to get away to a private little point of land and looks over the marsh to watch birds and sit in the rocking chair and feel the breeze. The only little minus I would offer is that the beds are super hard, like cardboard. Perhaps a mattress topper or something like that would help make the mattresses a little more comfortable. It’s such a beautiful house, no need to skimp on the mattresses. Otherwise I could live there!
Our family of 5 enjoyed our stay!Pros-Clean, plenty of space to spread out, quiet neighborhood, beautiful marsh views. Lots of outdoor deck space. We didn’t cook in the kitchen, but found plenty of dishes, mugs, cutlery, etc. Easy check in/check out. Cons-The 4th bedroom/3rd bathroom are in a separate “cottage”. Fine for groups with adults/older teens, but could pose a problem for families with young kids. Beds are FIRM. Like sleeping on the floor firm. We found them to be incredibly uncomfortable. We also were not fans of the tile floors. We tried to respect the “no shoes” policy, but found the floors to be hard and cold.
