An Teallach, named after one of the Scottish Highlands’ most iconic mountain ranges, is a beautifully designed holiday home in Balmullo, Fife. The name also means “The Forge” in Gaelic, a nod to the architect owners and their practice, Forge Design Studio. Their attention to detail and craftsmanship is evident throughout the house.

Set in a peaceful corner of Fife countryside, An Teallach offers privacy, space, and far-reaching views. With private parking and a serene rural setting, it feels like a true escape while remaining close to St Andrews, the East Coast, and local amenities in Balmullo. The house accommodates up to ten guests.

The open-plan living space, centred around a wood-burning stove, maximises natural light with corner windows and careful glazing. The modern kitchen is fully equipped for group stays and features an expandable dining table for up to ten guests. A boot room and utility area add practicality.

Sleeping arrangements include two super-king rooms, one king room, and a bunk room with a double, single above, and trundle below - ideal for children. Three bedrooms are en suite, while the master features a bath within the room. Upstairs, a family bathroom and a study with a sofa bed provide extra flexibility.

Additional spaces include a study with countryside views, a snug for movie nights, a bar area, and an outdoor patio with BBQ plinth. The converted garage gym features a Peloton, rowing machine, free weights, and yoga mats.
