We found the road noise intrusive and the walk to the village is part of the way without pavements on a relatively busy road.

Wonderful location
This cottage is beautiful and perfectly located for exploring Cornwall. Cosy yet mordern cottage, stunning bathroom and really well maintained overall. We loved having a TV and washer/drier.
Our main disappointment was the intensely strong musty/damp smell in the bedroom which lingered even on our clothes once we returned home. There was some mould growing on the curtains and windows in the bedroom, also on parts of the window by the bath tub. The sink in the bathroom was not cleaned to a very high standard for us on this occasion, on arrival, but this is not to say that overall the cottage was both clean and comfortable.
We would have appreciated being supplied washing up liquid and a sponge although we were supplied a dishwasher tablet or two to use on our exit. Small details like this would be welcomed.
Unfortunately, we experienced a water outage during our stay. We understand this is nothing to do with Cornwall Hideaways and was being experienced all over the area at the time, however, the response we had from emergency customer service was not the most professional, albeit very prompt which we appreciated. We were told perhaps to bathe in the sea, which we found slightly bizarre and unprofessional. We had to enquire as to whether there was any compensation offered as we felt that although it was out of CH hands, we could have been dealt with more professionally and helpfully.
Otherwise overall a 3.5/5 from us.

Damp accommodation
The property suffers from damp in the bedroom. The smell is unbearable and not the most healthy of environments to sleep in.
Cornwall hideaways are aware of the situation and below is response as they find it acceptable to rent out damp properties. Joanne, head of client services is a very unprofessional in the way she speaks to her clients.
“Here in Cornwall, we experience warm, humid conditions, and the combination of being so close to the sea and the nature of the materials commonly used in building here, can make some properties susceptible to damp”.

Great place to stay
We had a fantastic week staying in Potter's Barn, it really is beautiful. On arrival everything was spotlessly clean and well presented. Everything you could possibly need during your stay is provided, they have gone above and beyond! The barn is in a great location. In a quiet location but still close to town, a great base for exploring beautiful Cornwall. We walked down into St Agnes several times for food (highly recommended The Peterville).
Would definitely recommend the barn and we will certainly return.

Lovely property, nice and spacious and great location.
This is a lovely property-great location being close to the village and it was really spacious and airy.
We had a few niggles:-
1). The property has no direct access to the car park, meaning we had to carry many bags to and from the car to the property. Maybe we’ve been spoiled before with parking and should be grateful for parking at all?!
2). The property had not been thoroughly cleaned-some examples-crumbs on work surfaces, food remnants in the fridge, hairs in the bath. Not being allowed into the property until 4pm to ensure it is ‘Covid clean’ is ridiculous when you find clear examples that it had not been basically cleaned well, let alone Covid cleaned! I spent the first hour+ in the property cleaning-not what I anticipated on the first day of my holiday having left home at 3am!
3). The bedroom was cold and had an odour of damp.
The positives however outweighed these negatives-the barn is spacious, airy and suits 2 people well! The kitchen is really well equipped, the shower is amazing and the bed was super comfy! The sofa being a sofa bed was not the best, but we didn’t spend huge amounts of time watching TV with our gorgeous surroundings to explore.
Highly recommend the pizza place in the village, the little local shops are lovely too-really friendly staff and Trevaunance Cove is gorgeous and dog friendly!

First Class Accommodation
The Potters Barn is a really classy holiday cottage with all the amenities and comforts needed. Everything in the cottage was clean and safe. There is plenty of room especially for two people with a more than average sized bedroom and comfortable king sized bed, and a huge bathroom. The lounge area is comfortable and the kitchen was equipped with everything you would need. And it’s location, within striking distance of some brilliant beaches is perfect. Definitely a place for a great holiday. We really enjoyed it!
A couple of small things which unfortunately you cannot do much about but needs to be hi-lighted is that the outside space is limited with just a small patio outside the front door which is within a courtyard, so no views and, as the cottage is just outside St Agnes village there is no pedestrian access along the road. You have to negotiate a quite busy narrow road for about 600 metres before you reach the pavement that leads you into the village.

A lovely place to stay visiting St Agnes.
This was a well equipped, modern and very comfortable place to stay, with a lovely warm bathroom ( including underfloor heating). Its as good as the photos suggest. It’s a little bit of a stroll into St Agnes but pleasant although the first few hundred yards are on a road with no pavement or verge so take care. There is immediate access to the countryside and public footpaths which is great for dog walking. St Agnes and all around the area is great for walking , eating and wandering about , as well as the beaches.
