"Hotel is very well located in the center of Colombo Fort. on the flip side it is on a narrow street with bars and restaurants and therefore extremely noisy .... even on the 8th floor. Also no hot water and no alcohool (not even a beer if you make the mistake to have dinner at the restaurant). Overall not up to standards"

The hotel is showing its age but if you are a traveler looking for unique experiences this is an opportunity to stay in an unspoilt/un modernized colonia era masterpiece. I would stay here again. Colombo is a very safe city and the hotel is conveniently located for walking, or short tuk-tuk rides to other attractions and especially Fort Railway Station. "

"Prison, solitary confinement. I booked a room with a shower toilet, but when I asked the hotel staff, they said they didn't have one and the shower and toilet were shared. The sheets were old and dirty, and the hotel was under renovation so it smelled like a construction site. The stairs were smelly and there were stains on the walls. I would be happy with half the price for this level. The room was completely different from what I booked, so I reported it to Expedia "

"The room seems quite square-shape and user-friendly. The TV works but not many channels to tinker with. Shower room’s water-draining is not fast enough, with water seeping out over the Barely-existent blockage while i was showering. Bed is soft and fine. One cockroach spotted, though it seems holiday staff already cleaned hard."
