"Place was as described in the ad plus more. Plenty of room out back for trucks and trailers. Plenty of room in the shop for 4 jeeps or side by sides. Covered patio out back was nice, as was the fire pit and hot tub. Can’t wait to stay here again."
Red Desert's Big Horn Log Cabin, close to Arches and Canyonlands National Parks.
8/10 Good
"The cabin is charming and clean. The outside table is shaded in a wraparound deck, and a nice place to unwind. The bed was comfortable and the cabin was cooled well. Guests approaching Moab from the South will like the location best. We stayed only one evening after checking out the national parks."
"Accommodations: The beds are comfy and the outdoor shower received a “best shower ever” rating from our teenage daughter.Drive: We were thankful to have an AWD vehicle. The adventure begins when the paved road ends. Host: Kenneth is gracious and very accommodating. Our stay was impacted by the Cottonwood smoke that blew into town (late June 2026). We did not want to start a fire to make dinner because of the conditions and he allowed us to boil the water we needed to make our Mountain House meals. He also let us borrow utensils because we forgot ours.Tips: Pack everything you need, including drinking water. Once you are there, it’s unlikely that you’ll want to trek back to town. Headlamps are optional but helpful."
"Loved staying here! The bed and the sleeper sofa were comfortable. Had everything we needed. The rooms were clean, the sheets and towels nice quality . We enjoyed grilling and our dog loved the patio!"
Quiet neighborhood home with mountain and red rock views
10/10 Excellent
"Air conditioning system was difficult to adjust comfortably. Great outside gas grill and diningroom eating area. Host was very helpful and responsive. Recommend!"
"We were emailed instructions so check in was a matter of just showing up! Able to find easily, perfect spot and as advertised. Appreciate the bathroom in our dome, we chose it for that reason. We could not get the firepit to ignite outside, but I think that was user error! Highly recommend this spot, we will be repeat customers for sure! Thank you so much for sharing it!"
Beautiful home w/ covered decks & grills - great for large groups
10/10 Excellent
"Rooms were clean, kitchen had everything we needed, but some of the drawers were broken. We also found a few roaches, but it is the desert. ;) Honestly, a great and inexpensive place to stay."
"Fantastic little spot! The grounds are clean and safe. The staff are all helpful and kind as well as the fellow travelers. I am very picky with cleanliness and this place was spotless. Nathan did a fantastic job! The highway can get noisy but it’s white noise level nothing startling. Free white noise machine for me. Infrequent sounds but low. It’s 10 mins out from all the food spots and shops. Would recommend this to anyone headed to Moab."
