"The Gateway Motel was recommended by a friend and my stay in Meridian was incredible ! The Motel staff and owner made me feel comfortable as soon as l checked in. The views of the mountains, the aroma of the flowers from the second story…. reminded me that, lm on vacation. I really enjoyed the sauna on a cool rainy evening!!
Motel is within walking distance of the Meridian downtown that has a variety of restaurants and local artisans shops. Screemers is a must see !! Check out Kootenay Rafting across the street as well, that was fun "

"Great bed! Even though we had to pack bags to the second floor, the sturdy staircase was a comfortable climb. Comfy chairs around a little table to eat at or play games; refridgerator; long surface counter with desk and tv dresser; coat hooks, luggage holder, lots of plump pillows, beautifully tucked bedding; personable young man in the office reception, plenty of parking, walkable safe neighbourhood with an amazing park near by which kids would love."
"Radium is a reallly nice town which really feels like it’s somewhere in the Alps at times. We really liked the breakfast that was served at the Screamers cafe and the room was comfortable and clean even though you can feel that the motel is pretty old. The hot springs pools are very close and it’s easy to walk to nearby restaurants. Overall we had an enjoyable stay and it’s a great value for money. "
