"We went for a birthday trip with my partner and some friends and were impressed by how clean, beautiful and well appointed the cabin was. Though we were primarily in the area to go paddleboarding nearby on lake Cushman, since the weather didn't comply with our plans we were only able to go to the lake one day and spent the second day entirely on the property which was a dream. The creek really is beautiful and peaceful, and there is lots of space to sit and enjoy the lovely setting. We spent the day taking turns in the hot tub, talking around the fire pit and sitting by the creek. A toddler came to visit with her parents and had fun wandering around looking at all the cute animal sculptures in the yard. We used the grill for several meals, and when it acted odd during one of the uses, our host was extremely responsive. The kitchen was very well stocked with cookware, cutlery, pots and pans, and nice serving trays. We didn't feel like we were missing anything.The beds were very comfortable and the couches downstairs are recliners, which were fun for lounging and chatting at night. There is also a dart board upstairs, which we had a fun time playing with. Only notes for visitors would be that the water in the shower turns the opposite direction for temperature, and that sound within the house travels pretty well. We were so pleased with our stay and would love to come back any time! "

I would have liked the online listing to have included the large chore list (ie starting laundry, stripping the beds of linens, taking out the trash) that needed to be done on the day of departure. "I’ll start by saying it’s a great place to stay and would go back, but I want to give some insight. Good: Such a beautiful location! The kitchen has nearly everything you could need. It’s nice to have kayaks! The rooms are pretty spacious, and beds are relatively comfortable. Bad: Make sure you check if the outlet actually works before leaving your phone to charge, there were many that did not work at all and nearly all were loose so the plug might fall out. The check out process is pretty long and intensive. The inside was clean, however the outside was kinda dirty (outdoor furniture was dirty plus covered in spider webs). "
