My wife and I stayed in this apartment from July 17 to 26, 2023. The apartment was very well equipped with modern appliances, air conditioning, HDTV sets in the main room and bedroom, ample storage, etc. The bathroom is large and has excellent facilities including a clothes washer and full-size shower.
During our stay, we followed the owner’s requests to turn off the air conditioning and lights when he left, etc. as well.
We had major problems with a minor issue, the expresso coffee maker, which was clearly broken, as it leaked coffee from everywhere when turned on. We reported the coffee problem by email on Wednesday, June 21 after which the same gentleman who let us into the apartment showed up. He was pleasant enough but could barely speak or understand English and knew less about the coffee maker than we did. At one point, he accused us of breaking the coffee machine which we immediately corrected him on – it was broken before we arrived and should have been replaced before we even got there.
He didn’t offer to replace the machine, report the problem, or take any other corrective action, he just left us without a coffee maker. My wife and I then spent the rest of the afternoon in town trying to find a machine in the old town of Split, which we did at our own expenses which we subsequently left at the apartment. We have not asked to be compensated for the cost of the new machine.
