"We just completed our second stay at Bakkestua for a family vacation and—once again—Bakkestua did not disappoint! This property is just as described in the listing—clean, well-appointed and well-equipped, beautifully furnished, with a lovely lake view. A highlight for us and one of our favorite features is that the property has two (2) decks, one on each end of the cabin. Communication with the host is excellent—(Ellen) is prompt and thorough with providing information and responding to questions. We absolutely love Bakkestua and hope to return for a third visit next summer!"

"We enjoyed our family weekend at the Hygge cabin. The kitchen is well stocked for large group cooking. The kids (and adults) enjoyed the expansive yard, ping pong table, and pickleball! The location is central to lakes, restaurants, and downtown Hayward. Jacob quickly responded when we had questions. Would book here again!"

"We had a wonderful stay in this house. It was very clean, spacious, and comfortable.The house is surrounded by trees and is just a 5-minute walk from the lake and a resort with a restaurant, where kayaks and pontoon boats can be rented.There is a lovely terrace with a table where you can enjoy breakfast or lunch, and a large awning that provides plenty of shade on sunny days.As suggestions for improvement, we would recommend providing a few outdoor chairs or sun loungers so guests can relax or read in the garden. It would also be nice to have some board games for indoors and a few outdoor games for the garden.We also felt that a little more tableware would be helpful, as the number of plates is somewhat limited. In addition, it would be useful to have a full-size blender for making soups and smoothies for the whole family (there is currently only a small personal blender), a glass baking dish for cooking in the oven, and a large serving platter or dish for presenting food at the table."

"The cabin was clean and well stocked (there were even coffee filters). We did not do much cooking but there were plenty of pots and pans, dishes and silverware if we had needed them. I made suggestion that grab bars be installed on either side of the tub on the wooden trim pieces. We are seniors and found the tub quite slippery.The view was beautiful. We saw an eagle fly around close to shore and heard the loons calling to their chicks and friends to alert them to the eagle. The cabin is very private with trees all around. The porch/dining room was lovely and we sat on it every night until it got dark outside."

"This beautiful 3 bedroom cabin is clean, updated and located close to a sandy beach area. The bedrooms are a nice size and not extremely cramped. Beautifully updated interior, screened porch and outdoor deck cover all the things you want for your stay. The hosts were in contact to let you know they would be available with any concerns you had during your stay."

"We had a great weekend staying at Musky Run Resort! Jill was a fantastic host and our kids loved Vincent (the resort dog). The cabin was clean and had everything we needed for a weekend getaway. There was good company at the bar/restaurant and the fishing was good too! We will be back some day!"
