"Was not the most modern one, had some spots with mold, demolished wallpapers and a door, that had some issues. We could hear a lot of stuff going on at the floor and rooms next door. A funny thing was the camera on top of the house, that is shown in your television at the start. So you can watch the outside in real time. Nice lovely breakfast. All over it was an average stay. Payed too much for it. Definetly not worth. "

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Spangen?
The best area to stay in Spangen is within the historic town centre, particularly around the Marktplatz (Market Square).

This area is the heart of Spangen, characterised by its traditional half-timbered houses and narrow, cobbled streets. The Marktplatz itself is a central point, often hosting local events, and is surrounded by a selection of local shops and eateries. You'll find the historic Rathaus (Town Hall) here, and the Spangen Castle is just a short walk up the hill.

Couples looking for a peaceful getaway will appreciate staying within the town centre. Its compact size means everything is easily accessible on foot, superb for leisurely strolls and enjoying the local architecture. You can enjoy quiet evenings at a traditional restaurant or explore the castle grounds without needing to travel far.

For those travelling with family, the area around the Marktplatz offers convenience and a relaxed setting. Hotels here provide easy access to local amenities, and the nearby castle provides an interesting historical site for all ages to explore.
When is the best time to go to Spangen?
The best time to go to Spangen is during the late spring (May to June) and early autumn (September to October) when the weather is pleasant for outdoor activities.

During these months, you'll find comfortable temperatures for exploring the town and its surrounding nature. The lush greenery of spring or the colourful foliage of autumn provide an appealing backdrop for walks and hikes. This period avoids the hotter peak summer months and the colder, shorter days of winter, offering a good balance for sightseeing and relaxation.

For those interested in local events, Spangen also hosts its traditional Horse Market in September, which can be a fun experience if you enjoy local culture and festivities.
