Great location and easy access to downtown and Georgetown. Rooms were clean. The staff on the front desk were super friendly and did not hesitate to help find a room for early check-in. Self use laundry worked as expected.i would recommend this place.

I have never had such a terrible experience at a hotel as I did with the St. Gregory. My family and I were traveling on July 4 and wanted it to be special at our nations capital! Not only was the night almost 800.00, the room was not ready for us at 6pm, even though 4pm is check in. Additionally after waiting almost an hour in the lobby during dinner time I went back to check in and had to wait an additional 30 minutes, she put us in a room that had NO Air conditioning (mind you this was during the HEAT WAVE and was 88 degrees in the room. I called the front desk and told her and she said she could put us in a different room but it would be an additional 30 minutes and also it would only have one bed as opposed to the two I needed as I was traveling with my husband and son! After explaining there was nothing she could do (and not wanting to spend another thousand dollars almost) my son slept on the couch and we slept in the bed. We were unable to get down to the activities on time and our July 4 was ruined basically because this hotel obviously cares more about money than customer service. I will NEVER return here. When I called for any type of resolution, they offered to pay for valet, they didn’t even offer to pick up the tab for the restaurant that we ate at only because we had our luggage with us! I just got off the phone with the manager and he was not professional and refused to take responsibility! Don’t go here if you want good customer service! They don’t care!

There was a great deal of construction outside the hotel, so a bit frustrating trying to get an uber, etc. Not super convenient to walk to places, but we did. Lots of cute restaurants and bars in the area. One of the elevators was broken the entire time we were there. I got the strong sense it has been broken for a long time. They did offer coffee near the front desk, but (and maybe this is just me), I found it super annoying there was either no garbage can or the small one they had was overflowing. This was 4 feet away from the front desk. I was also annoyed a bit that the day before our departure, I asked for a late check out. They told me I would have to check the morning of. I called first thing and they indicated they don't do that. Just say no on first contact and manage expectations. They did store our luggage for us, The room was very nice. Bed comfortable. Shower was nice. Room was large. Felt very safe. Did not eat/drink at the restaurant so can't comment.
