"Horrible and Overpriced! The smell in the room was strong and disgusting and never let up even with the window open. Front desk told me it was unfortunate and that they didn’t have any other rooms available. The parking lot showed that it would not have been filled to capacity. Cleanliness was poor. Dirt all over the bottom of shower floor. Amenities on lower side. Didn’t try the breakfast. Advised front desk next day of issues and they didn’t even apologize or try to rectify the situation. Pros- Hotel was in a decent location and close to restaurants and stores. Parking felt safe. "

"This was the second time we have stayed at Hocking Lodge while visiting with our grandson at Hocking College. Area is very quiet, safe and secure. Property is very nice. Room is very comfortable and beautifully decorated. Breakfast menu is improved with several options and gluten free cereal for those of us who need to eat GF. Thanks so very much for that. Coming from farm life we love the setting with the area surrounding the lodge and seeing the tractors in the fields. We have booked a room here again for grandson's upcoming graduation."

"The room was clean and comfortable. Area was safe. Staff was courteous and pleasant. Breakfast looked good for most people, but not for those of us with celiac disease. The only negative with the motel was that the ONLY gluten free option for breakfast was a cup of yogurt. It shouldn't be too hard to offer brand name Cheerios, which is certified as gluten free, as one of the cereal options. This is the reason for my 4 star review instead of 5."

"My non smoking room had cigarette burns on the blanket. There was a bedbug on the bed. The sink and toilet was broken. It also looked as if someone tried to force entry into the room. When I took my concerns to the front desk I was told that there was nothing he could do, I had to wait until the next day and talk with the manager. Needless to say I did not stay at the hotel and I will be go all the way to the top with this complaint if I do not get refunded. And yes I have pictures and video…"
