Great wee Bach, warm, tidy, full of character. Good size property for kids to ride their bikes. Shame the nor’wester turned the river to chocolate milk. Awesome property, will stay again. 👍

What an awesome few days! Arrived and parked the car and didn't start it up again till we left. Fabulous spot. Fantastic crib. Lots of walking. Fresh air. Great laughs, food and beverages! Terrific sleeps! Thank you so much to our hosts for sharing this gem with us 😊

Lovely Family Fishing Bach, Beautifully Kept
Very comfortable family bach with a great sense of the fishing history in a peaceful setting. Had everything you need and was a wonderful nostalgia trip for my old time fisherman dad (93 years old). We had a lovely time. Thanks for letting us bring the dogs. Great walks everywhere.

Everything you could need for a quiet stay away! The fire was so cosy and the bed was comfortable!
Very homely feel to this batch which has everything you need to relax. It was so quiet which was perfect. Was lovely with the fire going. Everything was cruisy and there at hands reach. The owner was very communicative with instructions. My only confusion was whether I was meant to turn the main power off when I left but didn't want the freezer to defrost!! Hopefully it was all okay. Stayed one night and having a late checkout was perfect to help get organised in the morning! Thank you, would love to come back.

Rakaia outdoors experience
We loved staying at the Hutts- it catered for our dog and was very handy to everything South Canterbury had to offer. The batch was setup for the owners so wanted for nothing. We have our dog sleep outside in a cage and it was great that she know we were sleeping just on the other side of a ranch slider. The close proximity to the river and fresh water lagoon were of real interest to us and great to exercise and swim/wash the dog- she has never smelt so good or more precisely her odour is nowhere near as bad as normal. Steve was great/prompt with communication and queries meaning we could not fault the place or our experiences. We thoroughly recommend staying here particularly if you are travelling with a dog that likes exercise and water - its perfect. Thank Phil and Jane

A Wonderful & Comfortable Place!
An absolutely wonderful place to relax in! It more than met all our expectations with all the amenities on offer including a comfortable bed and a good shower! Unfortunately unexpected rain hampered our attempts to really explore the place and for my husband to do some fishing, but we did manage to visit the nearby beach and look at all the birdlife there. I would highly recommend this lovely bach.

Great for a short stay
This small cottage was a perfect landing spot for us when we arrived from Canada. It was cozy and comfortable and offered an interesting neighbourhood. Beautiful lagoon a short walk away separated from the shingle beach by a high bar. Cottage provided everything we needed and Stephen was very helpful in our communications. Highly recommended if you are a fishing fan!
