"This is a top drawer unit. Quite recently built or substantially remodeled, it has all the core necessities and almost every imaginable amenities. It was immaculate when we arrived and we were very surprised and impressed by the stock of condiments, etc. in the cupboards. It is also very nicely located just 1.5 blocks from the water and 3 blocks from the Beaufort business district. The only recommendation I have for the owners is that they should provide better instructions on regulating the mini-split HVAC units.It was a perfect place to vacation with our son and his family which includes 2 teenage daughters. "The hosts were very welcoming. We enjoy the coast but not much for the sandy beaches so this was the perfect place for us. The covered porch overlooking the sound was fantastic! Our 2 dogs enjoyed it as much as we did. Enjoyed listening to the water lapping up on the retaining wall of rocks and the breeze was wonderful. My husband enjoyed fishing from the dock. I loved stargazing from the dock. The cottage was decorated wonderfully and was so comfortable. We stayed 4 nights and enjoyed every second of it and want to book again in the future. Truly a special and magical place. "

The town of Oriental is quaint and has fun places to go, most within walking distance. The ocean is an hour away. Will definitely stay again!"

"The house had an unpleasant odor, the kitchen pots were not very clean, and there were no blankets provided for sleeping, which was inconvenient. If the host could improve the cleanliness of the kitchen, freshen up the house, and ensure blankets are available, it would make the stay much more comfortable."
