Staff at this place are terrible, they constantly question everything you do and once you stand up to them for acting like wardens, they then black ball you and continue to hound you. Fire alarm went off and an automated recording came on the inner come directing everyone to use the stairs. Once we got down to the check in area the staff at the front desk continued to check people in to their rooms like nothing was going on. No direction at all during this emergency situation. Good thing is wasn't a real fire and it turned out to be someone burning food on the 6th floor while cooking. I didn't have confidence in the staff if we had another emergency after that situation. Bar was closed the whole time, so we had to walk next door to the other hotel for drinks. If you want to enjoy your stay on south padre island don't rent from this place.
