The stay there was terrible bathroom zinc stopped up wall outlet in the bathroom off off the wall one of the queen beds smell like pee, and customer service wasn’t friendly

Nice facility, staff are friendly. Not busy despite the major construction projects the town is experiencing which is not a negative reflection. Other hotels in the area have a large population of technical labour personal that start their days early.

Check in scheduled for 4PM...sat in lobby for 2 hours. Told rooms (2) were not ready, we had to wait since I booked via Expedia. Staff polite, while waiting at lease 6 people walked in and were give rooms...again told we had to wait because of the booking via expedia. rooms were booked on 17 March. very upset after a day of travel, Hilton should, do better.

The staff who checked me in was not rude per se but extremely unpleasant, unfriendly, short and abrupt. She did not offer me bottled water upon checkin as i have been previously (I saw the bags set up behind the desk). The strong smell of air freshener was overpowering and caused all of my clothes to smell after leaving. This is a huge concern due to a fragrance allergy and unsafe conditions for humans and pets. I’ve stayed at this hotel at least a half dozen times and this was by far the most disappointing stay. This was the first time I was asked to leave a credit card for incidentals which was fine but unusual given that I have stayed here a lot and have never had to provide a CC. Not sure why a portion of the floor in the room was replaced with a hard floor especially since it seems the old carpet was still in place. The minimal cosmetic changes in the rooms seemed unnecessary and did not make them any “nicer”. The back door near the pool was consistently propped open which is a safety issue that should be addressed. The staff at the desk upon check out was pleasant and friendly.

Filthy hotel

Dirty. Brown dirty old carpet in rooms. Smell of 100000 feet. Dirt on every light switch. I slept in my clothes to feel less in contact with filth. Far less than expected from Hampton Inn. Next time I’ll just sleep in my car.

WE ask for a King Bed and we got a two room suite with a King bed, top floor, happy with all the above. Hotel was a little dated.....BUT we were happy with it overall.

Just okay. The place needs some maintenance and updating. Our room ceiling had ugly roof leak stains, and the elevator buttons were badly worn. It appeared that all the other nearby properties were newer. The breakfast was good.

Family Reunion Weekend

Brown water spots in ceiling. Breakfast area ceiling leaking water so no hot breakfast Monday morning before check out. King room not ready when checking in so we got 2 doubles.

We arrived at 6:02 pm and our room was not ready. After much discussion between the check in clerk and housekeeping, we were given another room. The carpet in this room was stained and dirty, the curtain was difficult to close and had black duct tape, cabinet door to refrigerator was about to fall off, trim in bathroom was falling apart and looked like some black mold in shower. Fortunately we only were staying one night.

This hotel needs updating. My room was touched up with paint that was a different color than the original. The fitness room was a shack outside with 3 machines in it. The door to my room wouldn’t close properly. The refrigerator almost tipped over.

Stolen sunglasses

I stopped by to check-in before going to my destination in NC. The front desk mgr was pleasant enough. I laid my expensive sunglasses down on the counter to sign the check in machine. As I was returning to my car, I realized I had left my sunglasses. I immediately went back into the office (1-2 min) and they were gone. I asked the mgr if she had them, she said she saw me put them on the counter but did not know where they were. I went to my car to check knowing I had left them on the counter. I feel like they were taken by someone. I asked the mgr to look behind the counter where she was sitting, nothing. Strange. Later that evening, I went to my room. I had gotten comfortable on the sofa & a cockroach was coming towards me. I am highly allergic to them. I went downstairs to get another room but none were available. I asked the clerk if she could find another room which she did at Comfort Inn. She proceeded to tell me that I would be charged for the room. This was the worst experience of my life and I plan to NEVER stay at another Hampton Inn.

So overall a decent place but definitely a downgrade from the usual Hampton Inn. The handicap room was not very intuitive for a real handicap person. The door to the bathroom opened the wrong way. A table with towels blocked the doorway into the bathroom. A hall door that was closed, leading to the handicap room. (Opening this in a w/c is not easy.) There was no outlets on one side of the bed, making using my devices impossible while resting in the bed. The bed size was not a full King size, but a smaller King. All these came to us as small disappointments from a Hampton Inn.
