This is a secluded very quiet spot, so peaceful. Host was responsive and a pleasure to deal with. We had our 2 dogs with us and were able to walk them everywhere - very pleasant.

Doggo accomodation
Ian was lovely, Ecostay was true to the name, with trying to get to zero waste. Dogs loved it, albeit it was grass seed season so we had a quick emergency visit to a local groomer to clip the groodle right back short. Thankfully Jo's Paw Parlour is a neighbour and came to the rescue at short notice! I would not recommend taking the beach sign route from cabin 2 - it took us a long way round, instead I recommend taking the main road to cabin 3 and jumping on the beach trail from there. Thanks for a pleasant stay!

Unexpected Gem
Really enjoyed our stay at Ecostays. Fantastic ocean, and sunset views from Cabin 2. Walk to the beach was pretty vigorous, but worth it. Wind is to be expected anywhere along this coast, so swimming isnt always great. We didn't beach fish, but looks like a good spot. Dogs loved the freedom of the beach. Overall, a really enjoyable spot. Would definitely stay again.

Character cottage
Interesting character cottage, perched high up in remote area with sea and land views when you eventually locate it. Has all you need except that the gas wasn't working so neither was the cooker and the hot water. Enjoyable experience overall.

Great location. Away from the hustle and bustle of traffic and suburbia. Surrounded by nature with fresh air blowing from the Indian Ocean and fantastic views of the landscape and sea. Ian was very helpful and accommodating of a last minute request.

Accommodation more than adequate for 2 people and a dog! Nice and quiet with view to the ocean. Windy all weekend but then it always is on this part of the coast. Directions from Ian were great and it was easy to find. Thanks for a great stay!

That view!!
There’s not much to complain about when your perched on a hill with ocean views. I stayed overnight to break up a big driving trip and it was perfect for what I needed. The rainwater for drinking was so fresh! Loved the comfy bed and listening to the ocean at night. I can’t fault Ian and his communication. He was friendly and helpful.

Location is great for a getaway, unfortunately this was let down by the soiled flooring, bedsheets with holes in, settee that was too stained to be sat on and generally poor quality fitments So we looked, but drove off as we couldn’t stay there.

This is a no frills type property. Great for a couple of guys on a fishing trip.
Fantastic view of the Ocean although getting to the beach is a bit of a hike. The cupboards and equipment are all clean as are the provided linen. The accomodation price is one of the lowest I have seen so you can’t expect luxury.The carpet and thick pile rug absolutely stunk so it was hard to see past that. I would have rather had a Vinyl floor. Also if you are going to spray the flies then pick them up after they are dead, Dead flies all over the place.

An easy stay everything we needed. The dogs enjoyed the walk down to and along the beach. Maybe warn the guests how far off the road cabins are, as you can’t see them until you are on them.

Nice location however a little rundown, needs some TLC.
We only had a one night stop over, it was comfortable but it is the little luxuries that count, eg, soft towels, the doona was very thin and it was a cold night, the crockery had chips and wa dirty and the outside is very neglected, nothing like the photos.The view ws amazing.

Very disappointing
Although the location of the property was stunning & pre arrival communication good. Ian was very friendly when we arrived. However the state of the accomodation was poor with broken blinds, dirty toilet pedestal, rubbish in bathroom bin, long black hair all on the bathroom floor & hanging from clean towels. The couch was dirty & we had to cover with our towel before we could sit on it. The pedestal fan was rusty & covered in thick dust. The dirt & dust behind the bed looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months. The carpets were badly stained. Had we not arrived late in the afternoon after a long drive we wouldn’t have stayed.
