Bask beneath the rays of a constantly hot sun in the stylish cities, glamorous beaches and wildlife-rich wildernesses that make up stunning South Florida.

Sunny South Florida encompasses some of the most famous beaches, cities and islands in the whole state. Come here for shopping in modern metropolises or to indulge in luxury in towns populated by the rich and famous. Alternatively, visit South Florida for escapes into nature or to simply find a relaxing spot on a tranquil island with uninterrupted views of the ocean.

Spend days exploring the dazzlingly diverse neighborhoods of Miami, which have been shaped by multiple cultural influences. Sleek Downtown features the Perez Art Museum and HistoryMiami. Chill out in stylish South Beach, known for its Art Deco architecture.

Immerse yourself in the colors of Little Haiti and Little Havana, where you can pick up quick eats and listen to music from other cultures. Marvel at the vast murals covering every wall in Wynwood, a trendy neighborhood with lively farmers’ markets.

Naples, on the west coast, features the gorgeous golden beaches of Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park, among others. Take your family to Naples Zoo or browse the displays in the Naples Museum of Art.

Stay on one of the islands of the Florida Keys. Progressive Key West promises a buzzing nightlife and multiple museums on topics such as shipwreck salvaging and local history. Put on a pair of goggles and dive into the Molasses Reef, outside Key Largo.

Go on a wildlife-watching excursion in Everglades National Park. This vast swath of nature takes up 1.5 million acres (600,000 hectares) of the southern tip of Florida. Bring binoculars and watch the waters and grasslands for crocodiles, manatees and the rare Florida panther.

In the heart of the Everglades is the Big Cypress Seminole Indian Reservation where you can discover South Florida’s history in the Ah-Tah-Thi-Ki Museum, named after a Seminole word for “a place to learn.” Native American stories and traditions have been preserved here and in attractions such as the Miccosukee Indian Village.

Miami International Airport is the main point of entry into Florida and the quickest way into the region. South Florida is a popular destination at any time of year due to its near-constant hot weather. Come here in winter to avoid colder months elsewhere in the world.
