"My Wife and I enjoyed our stay at Tru by Hilton Columbia Downtown. We booked from Saturday to Monday and the hotel was fully booked. The price was very reasonable compared to the value you receive. Comfortable feel and modern property. The staff is extremely friendly. We had the pleasure of checking in with Lillie at the reception desk. The general manager sent me a message prior to our check in date, which I appreciated. We received messages from the Hotel staff asking how everything was going throughout our stay. The room was immaculate, the only thing I should have requested was a bigger comforter for the bed, lol.
The proximity to Colonial life arena is a big reason why we choose this hotel. We took an uber to the arena Saturday night and it was only $10, the evening was beautiful and we decided to walk back to the hotel after the Maxwell concert. It was about a 20 minute leisurely walk. My Wife and I felt safe walking back, we were amongst a crowd of concert goers at first which fizzled down and then we realized we were amongst a bunch of USC students out enjoying their Saturday night. lol!
Great night in Columbia and looking forward to our next stay at Tru Downtown Columbia. Close to different shops and restaurants, close to the Zoo and Botanical garden. Officially designated our Hotel of choice when we’re in town.
Thank you!!"
"Hotel very smart and clean. We appreciated the good value breakfast and the friendliness of all the staff. One small issue we had with our room was eventually resolved and a suitable gesture made as compensation. Would recommend this hotel for both its location and amenities."
