Stargazers Cabin w/ Observatory - Amazing Views!

  • NEW LISTING! Stargazers, vacationers, family-memory makers - this is your spot! Not only we do we offer the cabin + 11 acres + pond a mere 15 minute drive to many popular Hocking Hills hikes and attractions, but we also offer the opportunity to indulge in learning about or expanding your interest in the stars!

    The previous cabin owner gifted us with an observatory - a building with a retractable roof used for celestial viewing and photography, as well as a number of photos taken from the property, on display in the home! It's currently set up for your use w a high power telescope, hammock, and small couch to enjoy during your stay.

    This vacation home - set up to cater to couples, families or small group, offers telescopes (w instructions), guidebooks, and celestial photos taken from the property. Star viewing not your thing? Enjoy the extensive deck - some of it screened, for sunrises or sunsets, Infinity game table, fireplace, firepit, walking the 11 acres, fishing in the pond, a hammock in the observatory, and hot tub!

Couldn't have asked for more! Made a last-minute reservation for my wife's birthday and Joel was so accommodating to ensure our arrival and stay was a welcoming one. The cabin is 5 stars. Literally has everything you'll need. I only wish we could have stayed longer to really take advantage of all the amenities. Location was ideal and took less than 12 minutes to all the great hikes nearby. Would highly recommend!

We loved staying at this property! The stars are beautiful and the observatory was super cool to have. The location was one of my favorite aspects. It was private but also very close to all the sites of hocking hills. The property itself is gorgeous and inside it is quite cozy!

Peaceful Retreat

Stargazers Cabin was a spacious and cozy home. Immaculately clean with a very well stocked kitchen. Short drives to great hiking and a hot tub to soak in after the hikes. We had fun looking at the stars and playing the electronic board games. A great place to stay!

Family retreat

We were looking for peace and quiet and this was perfect! Beautiful house with a lovely hot tub and an amazing conservatory. Enjoyed the large fire pit also even though it was 85 degrees! Had to have the fire and roast marshmellows. Comfortable and spacious enough for the 5 of us. We will be back again!

Family Time

Lovely visit to a nice, quiet property. We were able to squeeze in game time and walks. Beds quite comfortable and the fireplace was wonderful. Daughter and husband spent time in the observatory and thoroughly enjoyed it. Husband and I enjoyed the hot tub for our quiet time at the end of the day. Only drawback - rain instead of snow...which showed up a week later!!!

Quaint and charming

We couldn’t have asked for a more charming place for our much needed getaway. The location was secluded enough you could enjoy the peace, but close enough to all of the local attractions. Joel was very responsive with any questions. This place was a gem and would stay forever if we were able. The kids (12-14) loved all of the room to play outside, the ping pong table l, corn hole boards and the infinity game table.

We spent a long holiday weekend at Stargazer and everyone, even the 14 year old, loved it- and he dislikes everyting. The house was perfect for our family of four. The property is amazing. It’s definitely out there- but that is what we were after. There are several amazing parks all within 30 minutes. Double thumbs up from this crew.

Amazing weekend!

A beautiful home equipped with every thing we needed. as a rental owner in Florida was pleasantly surprised that cleaning supplies, including dish wash detergent and laundry detergent were supplied. There were also basic cooking supplies. In Florida we are only allowed to have a starter pack. The property is beautiful, and the star gazing was amazing. Some of our children arrived to surprise their Dad for his Birthday and we had ample room with comfortable beds. We loved our time there!

Perfect little getaway

This is by far one of the nicest properties I have stayed in. I'm very picky about cleanliness and stargazer cabin was pristine, smelled good, the decor was invitingBeds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. The hot tub worked great and was much needed after a day of hiking. The stargazer's open sky observatory with telescope was a hit! The property is secluded and well maintained. Our host was absolutely lovely and incredibly responsive to our needs. Our only issue was the infinity game table stopped working but our host was immediately putting in a service ticket and helping us troubleshoot so hopefully it will be back up and running soon. Can't wait to go back in the future. This is the only place I would want to stay in Hocking Hills.

Amazing Family Getaway!

Our stay at Stargazer was nothing short of INCREDIBLE! The owners literally thought of EVERYTHING when providing this rental opportunity and our family had an incredible time. Stargazer was absolutely perfect. The cottage was well stocked with high end kitchen. Each bathroom has everything you would need to stay there, no need to bring anything but your clothes and food. If I had a question Joel answered promptly. Will definitely stay again.

By far, the nicest property we have ever had the pleasure of renting in Hocking Hills. Greeted with a thank you basket including candy bars, soap, popcorn, etc. Settled in to the well equipped cabin and noticed all the little “space themed” items(I.e. coffee cups, bar ware, blankets, games). Especially enjoyed the star gazing room with the nice telescope and retractable roof! The accommodations were very clean and comfortable. And the porches were perfect for morning coffee! The host was available and determined to make our stay pleasant. Close to all Hocking Hills main hiking trails. All in all, a great place to stay!
