The location is wonderful. Beautiful views out the windows and easy drive to hiking trails. The kitchen was well-stocked and we cooked full meals during our stay. Comfortable beds and furniture. Nice space for our family of 4 to relax. We will definitely visit again. Mike was a wonderful host!

Hocking Hills Get A Way

Cabin was nice. We were approximately 25 minutes from the Canopy Zip Lining tours and very close to Old Man Cave and Conkle's Hollow. Perfect location to stay at.

Great Property, Great Location

I took a short vacation after Easter to get away for a while and walk in the woods. This property perfect for my solo get away and very close to the major Hocking Hills hiking destinations.

Good location to all the trails.The rental was cozy and had what we needed. Being able to watch TV while using the hot tub was nice after a day of hiking. Verizon cell service stinks in this area, but it's good to unplug once in a while. Would recommend staying here.

Fall Colors 2024 in Dixieland

We're from Toledo and this is our 2nd time visiting the area. I like this place because it's not too far from the main park. We did want to go to the event that was at Ash cave Friday night but the rain kept us in. The spa was a nice end to a long hiking day on Saturday. Very nice place. Would definitely come back.

This group has made an awesome cabin here! The place is immaculately kept, dishes and cooking gear are available in the kitchen with a propane tank on the grill. We love that we can let our pup loose on the deck without having to worry about her getting off of it unattended. The hot tub has been hot, clean and ready to go both times we have stayed here. They added a TV to the deck since the last time we were here and that made our stay even better. The beds are comfortable, the common spaces are in great condition with comfortable furniture, and the bathroom is small but well appointed. Thank you for an amazing stay, again!

Absolutely wonderful

Dixie Land was a great place to stay. The location was great ( Dinos pizza and Grandma Fayes were close by for food and misc items) Also being close to Old Mans Cave was great. The cabin was very nice. We spent a lot of time on the deck with the steps leading to the firepit, and the hot tub was very relaxing. The kitchen had what we needed and if it didn't Grandma Fayes was just right down the road.The washer / dryer was a added bonus as well. Our daughter loved her room ... and the living room was a nice size. Big enough for our dogs crate to be set up for when they couldn't go with us. Dave was a great host. And Cheryl had the place nice and clean. We are already planning on visiting next year and staying at one of Daves lovely cabins.

Great Place

Absolutely a great place to stay, very quiet and great scenery, we had some rough weather come through the area the day we arrived and some trees fell down but the owner was right on top of the situation and had them taken care of. But besides all that the cabin is a short drive from hocking hills a gas station with a mini store and also a popular country store, as well as a pizzeria and burger restaurant. The hot tub and private deck at night is very serene and relaxing. The deck is also fully enclosed so our dog was able to enjoy it as well. The yard is very large so if you are traveling with a dog plenty of room to enjoy. I would recommend staying here to anyone. As far as the house itself, you have just about everything you need, the beds are comfortable , everything is clean and well taken care of and maintained. All in all I don’t know what more to say, just an absolutely great place to stay.

Cozy Cottage in Hocking Hills

We had a great stay at the Dixieland cottage. It was extremely clean and as advertised. We loved using the hot tub and fire pit. We also really appreciate that we were able to bring our dog and that he could hang out on the fenced-in porch with us. The proximity to the main Hocking Hills trails couldn't be better. Every trail was 10-15 minutes from us. If you are going to cook, the kitchen has the basic cooking utensils needed. Just be sure to bring all necessary ingredients (such as cooking oil/Pam, condiments, spices other than salt/pepper). Also bring Tupperware if you want to eat leftovers. If you forget anything, there is a convenience store called Grandma Faye's about 3 miles down the road that has the basics. We had such a great time and would definitely rebook in the future!

30th Wedding Anniversary

Good location, clean, comfortable beds! Hot tub and tv outside were a nice touch! On the downside bed pillows need a serious upgrade, would have been nice to have a few more wash cloths for a 3 night stay. Don’t mind reusing towels but not wash cloths. Also felt like we had to limit our use of toilet paper. I’m sure the host would have been happy to supply more if we’d have asked but I feel like we shouldn’t have to. Also I didn’t feel it was appropriate to ask us to leave the cleaning lady a tip. I feel the price we paid for our stay should have more than compensated for her fee. I hate sounding like a Karen just wanted to leave some helpful tips for future guests.
