"The owners were lovely and very welcoming with off road parking provided within the grounds. The whole building was full or character and very stylishly decorated to a high level with a selection of D-day memorabilia and information in the dining room. There was a good breakfast included of Croissant/Pain au Chocolate/Pain au Raisin and bread, preserves and cheese together with hot drinks and juice. A particularly nice touch was a selection of chocolates in the bedroom. Would certainly recommend...

"Toilet area is a bit “Heath Robinson” in that the wash basin and shower are, for all intents and purposes, in the bedroom. Little sound privacy on the toilet as well. Otherwise a nice, modern, clean hotel with great staff."

"To be honest we just wanted to stay overnight. Clean and basic, been staying in a Chateau beforehand!! Very quiet, no atmosphere. No soft music and the lady owner just 'hanging' around to support you. Maybe so different in the summer months, but if you wish to Villedieu definitely the place to stay overnight."

"Rather unusual. Arrival down a lovely farm lane to a old farm being renovated. The charming owner showed us to our accommation, which was to a high standard, very spacious and comfortable. Enjoyed our stay, lovely family doing up the facility and economically priced. Would happily return. "

"hôtel un peu désuet mais ayant tout de même du charme, idéalement situé au coeur de Vire, mais un peu bruyant tôt le matin avec la reprise de la circulation. bon, il suffit de fermer la fenêtre ! le hic c'est l'absence de climatisation... je comprends qu'en Normandie cela ne soit pas la première préoccupation, mais les années prochaines, ça peut le devenir ... a part ça, rien à redire, personnel et Direction sympathiques !"

"It was a lovely stay. Room was spacious and allowed a space for our kids separate from our own. Host and hostess were great and the breakfast was locally sourced and amazing. Kids enjoyed tossing chew toys in the yard for the dogs to chase. I’m allergic to animals and had no issues in the room as they don’t seem to be allowed inside. Thanks for a fun few days in Normandy!"
